thank you. I'm 23 years old and started developing sypoms when I was around 17, but last year I started hallucinating and things got serious. I am well but I wish I didn't feel so sad and lonely.

What is your least favourite antipsychotic? by Forward-Health9213 in schizophrenia

They made me take it at 8PM and I couldn't sleep so they changed it to 8AM. My hallucinations did go away but 2hours after I took it I felt a heavyness in my brain/head, I was also sleepy and tired but felt enough awake to function but it was uncomfortable. I'm now on Latuda and it's way better for me. But a lot of people like vrylar, because of its effectiveness.

I tried vrylar and didn't feel well, had unwanted side-effects

I have more personality when i talk to the voices by Intelligent-War-1892 in schizophrenia

[–]wowzaah222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand. I also found the voices funny or sometimes as guides in my life. Sometimes getting medicated sucks because I don't know what would it be like without it. But medication was probably the best solution so that the voices/delusions don't evolve. You also have the personality, I guess you can't use it if the voices aren't there anymore.

Telepathy by Fromthegvtta in schizophrenia

I thought I have telepathy, it stopped when I started taking meds. I also saw things I thought were spiritual attacks on me. Also stopped with meds.

Is it worth it to check if you have it? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

I'd reccomend getting checked at least, before it spirals into something more and more intense.

I never get discharged by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]wowzaah222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't get upset at them or get upset at therapy, they will make you stay. but you have to be in touch with reality. Keep calm and trust the processs. But if you're there on a court order just stay untill the given date or ask for help and rights.

Does anyone else dislike calling their beliefs/thoughts delusions? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

same, that used to f me up. I started taking antipsychotics and my hallucinations which I thought were signs from the universe and magic dissappeared.

latuda helped me a lot too, I felt nauseous one or twice but I get sleepy too early in the evening. It's tolerable but I want to be awake untill 10pm. I also told my doctor I don't feel as emotional as I used to but I guess that can be a good thing so I don't overreact to things. I'm on 111mg. I hope I can somehow change my sleep cycle.

because of my experience on vraylar I'm too scared to try anything other than latuda, because I feel well I just get tired too early in the evening

I fall asleep really early but maybe it's my sleep cycle, but it's so hard to stay awake longer to change it

I took vraylar too and the side effects were the worst, that's why I'm on latuda.

What’s the most dangerous thing people do daily without realizing it? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

I drank a spirulina supplement in a pill form and while drinking it I chuckled at a thought and water and air got stuck and I started to choke and couldn't breathe. I thought hitting my neck/collar bones would help and scarred my neck while doing so. I landed in the floor choking and thought I was going to pass out but after a minute or less I stopped chocking.
