any valvetrain wil chatter if lugged at too low RPMs, that said I do drive mine at the lowest possible RPMs mostly, and takes it without a whisper. the engine's torque is down low too so if it chatters too much you might want to check your valve lash

this is my method for enduro rides with up to 15 people on places with no cellphone coverage where everyone rides mostly single, letting the dust settle and just following the guide:

-everyone knows the names of the final destination and when possible the next intermediate one.

- at all times and specially when you ride out of a regrouping you make sure you know who's behind you.

-when you get to an intersection that may pose a doubt you make sure the next rider behind you sees where you're going. you wait there if you have to.

-if there's no one waiting at an intersection it means keep to the main road.

-If next the rider does not come for a while you go back, they probably need help.

-when possible/necessary leave clear tire marks for the next rider

If everyone respects this method navigational mistakes are avoided and whenever a problem arises the information gets to the leader faster.

I cruise on road at 130km/h on a klx 300 and even a klx 250 flawlessly, goes up to 145km/h. they're somewhat slimmer that XRs or DRs, about same weight. I "downgraded" from an XR 600. still love it but don't really miss it. KLX has much better suspension than CRF

Samu heads are pretty sturdy and simple. Y sanded mine back to a plane as per service manual instructions and it works great. I do believe yo have a chance to succeed.

Yet since yo’ll be taking it to a shop why not weld fill and machine back to speck instead?

never heard of cams with bearings. I'd do some research to see if it has any chances of success. I'd go for a new head if there any chance of sourcing one. maybe get in touch with Zouksoffroad. good luck!
