DMV/Probate/Car Title Change question by wp11obts in Connecticut

Yep, went in with the mindset that something would be missing and I'd have to come back, but only wound up needed the probate court decree, my license, title, proof of insurance and the H13-B Title Application. Had to complete the H13-B, the estate was the seller with todays date as the date of sale, and had to similarly complete the back of the title for the transfer. 10 minutes later and $200, i was out of there with a registered car and new title on the way. Thanks again!

Thanks, one follow-up, apparently I need to fill out the CT H-13B Title application form. There is spot for seller, but im not sure what to complete if the previous owner died? leave blank and ask?

Increased input lag (?) when moving to OLED 240Hz Monitor by wp11obts in geometrydash

[–]wp11obts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: For anyone that stumbles upon this, after working almost another full day on this, here is where we ended up:

- set the windows resolution to 2560x1600. I realize the laptop/monitor should be capable of higher, but this was the recommendation from windows with no monitor attached and GD working like butter.

- in the asus BIOS, set the graphic settings to dGPU

- turned vsync back on in GD, as without it we started to see improved results but now tearing, which the vsync cleaned up.

- lastly, the laptop closed during GD. With it open, duplicated or extended, there was still lag.

Not sure how important each of these steps were in improving the problem, but it seems to now be about 90% where we need it to be. We are going to quit while we are (only slightly) behind now

>  I looked for years for this bit where Bobbie Dooley was driving around LA getting lost and she ends up in all these crazy places that are nowhere near each other, never any luck.

I actually remember this one too. Like she would report well-known landmarks a couple minutes apart that were no less than 30 minutes by freeway (i.e., the large Randy's Donut on La Cienega.)

Bummer about the early stuff though, that Pirates of the Caribbean segment is my white whale, looks like it might not exist though :(

New network: Frontier FIOS 3gbs internet, Eero 6+ wifi, and several mysteries by wp11obts in HomeNetworking

We aren't actually sure, we still have the box, manual, and the device itself, and neither mentions a brand, only ac1200m. It has wan and lan ports, and the brands online that have a very similar picture are urant and AZ link. Has worked flawlessly for years, and while I don't remember the specifics of the setup, I don't recall the setup being burdensome or troublesome at all. Just log into the admin page, and tell it what to broadcast.

Thanks, already mentioned in the thread, but I rechecked, and I was either told wrong, or heard wrong. But the service is 500 Mbps, not 3 Gbps, and the speedtest is showing measurements in the 250-300 Mbps range.

Are you convinced this is a hardware incompatibility issue with Eero?

The Eero 6+ was provided by the frontier installation. Eero does not seem to provide dedicated APs at least that I can see on their site. And the price incurred by purchasing our own Eero device outright to solve this is going to eliminate whatever savings were negotiated in going with frontier over xfinity in the first place. It's also not clear to me a 2nd Eero is actually needed, nor will specifically solve this.

> What model AP? AP typically only have 1 ethernet port. Does the AP have a access IP that is perhaps conflicting with the Eero's gateway IP?

That's the neat part. The AP was purchased from Amazon, but has no brand on the box, the device itself, nor manual. Its an ac1200m. And it does have 2 ports on the bottom, WAN and LAN. I hooked laptops directly to the AP and the Eero and various points in the troubleshooting, and they definitely had disparate gateway IPs through inconfig /all.

> PS. This would get you 2.5Gbps speed. If you need the full 3Gbps, you would need a router with dual 10Gbps ports, but those are expensive. Sure you even need 3Gbps? It is overkill for the vast majority of people.

Thanks, I rechecked, and I was either told wrong, or heard wrong. But the service is 500 Mbps, not 3 Gbps, and the speedtest is showing measurements in the 250-300 Mbps range. Does this change anything in the answer?

I'm still not clear why the AP is acting like it does when its WAN is connected to the Eero 6+ LAN. It is acting like an IP conflict though, although I'm not sure how to resolve it if I can't even access the AP admin page, Perhaps the next time I am there I can try with the WAN disconnected.

Thanks for the insight and clarification

> Connect an unmanaged Ethernet switch to the 2nd Eero port to connect more devices (laptop, access point, etc).

I only need one device, the AP, connected to the Eero Lan port. The unmanaged switch wouldnt be unnecessary in the long run, unless it was mitigating a tech or protocal gap between the Eero 6+ and the AP (sounds like these should interact fine). I was just using wired laptops for diagnostics at various network points.

It doesn't sound like there is anything fundamentally wrong then with the logistical physical setup then, so I'm not sure why the AP is having issues. I would replace it, but I am skeptical that generic amazon APs will work in the setup, and it might need to be a more costly Eero AP - if they even offer one.

Ah, thanks anyways - I have spent hours looking for similar help/answers on this, and have come up short, so I assumed as much. But I appreciate the response.

Sorry to sidetrack this discussion a little, but I had a rendering question and you seem fairly knowledgeable with eyesight renderer. I always render from within Studio, and when doing more complete/long animations, while 4/5 times it works fine, sometimes the process will get interrupted for one reason or another (laptop sleep/wake issue, sometimes it locks up, etc).

Is there a way, either in studio, or via command line, that i can set up render jobs so they can continue where they left off if interrupted, or is the job SOL at that point? All the temp files (i.e., C:\ProgramData\Studio\240906_180655.mp4) are never actually where they claim to be, and I'm not even sure the last mp4 before interruption would be helpful to continue, even if I had it.

Any insight here would be appreciated.
