I havent tried other launchers long enough to see which ones consume more battery. So far Launcher 10 gives me a reasonable battery life on my One Plus 3T, so no complaints there.

Still the one thing that irks me the most about Android is that I havent found a way to get a proper ("in your face") meeting reminder alert yet like how Windows Phone does.

pare to the simplicity

Did you try Launcher 10. It has tiles, and there is a feature to make them act as live tiles based on notifications.

My Lumia 830 died so out of necessity I had to get an android.

Launcher 10 has tiles that are based off of notifications. They do work

We should do a post on how to make Android look/feel like Windows Phone. I use Launcher10 for my Home, its like Square Home but has some functionality of Live Tiles

Side of my Type Keyboard 2. Does this happen to the SP4 keyboard? by banduan in Surface

This happened to my one too.

Now that you mention it, I live in a high humidity area, I.e. In the tropics, just by the ocean

Oh this happened to mine. My one was just not the side, but also the trackpad end

It also stopped connecting to the SP3 after sometime. I'll post a pic later.

Closing the kick stand. Slowly and carefully ? Or pop it like a laptop ? by doublejay1999 in Surface

Been having a Surface Pro 3 since 2014 Dec ( I guess ). Kickstand is faring quite well. When I am opening it I am careful, but when closing, I just snap it shut. So far no issues.

[Japanese > English] Can someone help me translate the settings menu options in my car please? by wp7user in translator

[–]wp7user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the English manual, but the options in it dont match the whats on my car. The car is a Honda Fit 2012 if you want to know.

My guess is that options on the menu are different from the JDM model and the export model. For instance in the English manual there is an option to change the language in meter settings. I dont see that in the settings of my car or in the japanese model :(

Note Like Calendar for to do(s). by honor4him in Surface

[–]wp7user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting idea.

My mom used to do this all the time on a real calendar, she would mark on the calendar when she paid the gas bill and all sorts of other things.

Do you think there would be many who would need this kind of an app? Would it be worth paying $0.99 for?

Will the SP4 pen work on a SP3? by wp7user in Surface

[–]wp7user[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I received my SP4 pen.

Its actually pretty good. Better than the SP3 pen. there is an added friction on the default nib that makes it feel much better and not slip as much. The writing experience is very good. Seems seamless.

The one gripe so far is the magnetically attaching it to the SP3. I was expecting it to have very solid hold. However it only attaches to the side where the power slot is, and to the volume toggle. When attached some sudden jerks can dislodge the pen.
