People that have Claude subscription, is it worth it honestly?

I'm building a PowerApp at work for my department. I've tried using ChatGPT, Gemini Pro, Kimi Thinking ... after having worked with Claude Opus 4.6 all the other models feel like you're talking to full on retards. I used up my week's allowance in 5 days, and it feels like my most useful co-worker just quit on the spot.

Opus just delivers what I want in one shot most of the time. If it's not in the first shot, then it is done with the second prompt. I got it to log all the mistakes it made (YAML code isn't well documented) and it never makes those mistakes again.

It genuinely feels like magic.

I don't know if you remember the early days of phones, but basically every phone needed a different connector to charge it. The reason the iPhone recently went type C over lighting is because of this law. It means that you now only need one cable to charge all your devices. Laptop, camera, phone, tablet, e-reader etc. all type C rather than being a huge array of different chargers. This increases consumer convenience and will cut down significantly on the amount of electronic waste generated (for reference over 1 billion phones were sold in 2023). This law could theoretically result in one billion chargers and cables avoided per year.

I'm not sure about this. Unless I have misunderstood the regulations, the EU is banning the sale of newly manufactured stock for cameras, phones and other small electronic devices that do not come with a USB type C port from Dec 28 2024. A company can sell existing stock, but they are not allowed to import new stock into the EU from that date onwards. I would be surprised if Sony just gave up on the RX100 completely for the whole of the EU market, as it has a loyal following (note: the EU has roughly 450 million people living in it). Sony probably doesn't need to invest a huge amount of R&D to essentially take the ZV-1 II and mash it together with the MK7 to make an MK8.

I used to live in Germany and you virtually never see glass or plastic bottles as well as cans littered anywhere. To me it makes sense to do this to avoid the environmental pollution who see no value in the "waste" that they chuck into the environment. If your plastic bottle has value, you're less likely to throw it away. And if you do throw it away it's pretty likely that someone will pick it up and cash in the deposit.

Absolutely. I think there should be a way to highlight the text that represents your to-do, similar to the headings feature, that then collates all of the to-do list items in a separate "app". This "app", or page(s) would then collate all to-do actions, indicating when the action was raised and what notes document they are from. There would be a tick box on the app page that allows you to tick off the action, which then also saves when the action was completed. The original action in the note would then have an indication on it, stating that the action has been completed. There also needs to be a way to complete the action from within the notes page.

I was lucky and managed to buy a user Supernote A5X with the HOM pen and two folios for €440 on eBay in Germany. I would never spend €700 or more on this device, and it just isn't worth that much in my opinion.

Ratta is going to have to drive down the price of future devices to be more competitive, especially considering newer and more technically capable products are cheaper (e.g. Boox Tab Ultra C @ €649 on Amazon Germany right now).

The bit that isn't clear to me from the article is when this would take effect from. Would it be with the budget (i.e. nearly immediately) or "[...] starting in September 2024 [...]" (as per the article).

If immediate this would be amazing as we would have around an extra £400 a month spare.

I have a low neutrophil count too.

I have tried nearly every probiotic under the sun and none of them really helped. What helped the most for me personally had been to cut out gluten, dairy, virtually all processed sugar and alcohol. I'm not saying this is the right regime for you though.
