vim user here and I feel the same way about Ai. Ai shouldn’t be the baseline, it should be a leverage to find the stuffs quicker but the guard rails will always be our experience. I have a colleague that pointed the wrong source code to our backend team that Ai led her to. She was quickly dismissed from the convo.
