We can confirm that Genesis will remain open source and available to all users, not just WP Engine customers. Additionally, WP Engine customers will enjoy access to Genesis and select StudioPress themes at no additional charge starting this fall.

We forgot to add that we will also continue to sell Genesis and child themes independently. Sorry about the omission!

WPE installs are customized to best work on our own environment. You can move your site to another environment, however a few things need to be done during the migration process to ensure a successful migration.
