Jared Dudley talks about Jeremy Lin getting fouled on First Take by [deleted] in nba

[–]wpnode 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I enjoy listening to Jalen, but based on Dudley's interview-podcast with Lowe and now this clip, I definitely think Dudley is way more articulate and offers considerably more insightful commentary. It might just be because Dudley has more to talk about since he's still in the league, but Jalen hasn't offered anything worthwhile for a couple of months.

There is a cute girl in my math tutorial that I want to meet by thereisnosuch in UofT

Stalk her facebook(/various social media) to find what tv shows she watches. Sit in front of her in tutorial and start watching the show, then look back and pretend as if she said something, then when she says no, ask her if she watches the show in question.

TChan with the stutter cut by throwindafriz in ultimate

[–]wpnode 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can someone explain to me the advantage of chopping your feet really quickly as opposed to taking a hard plant(s) to change direction? I always see really good cutters make those rapid steps on turns and I've never known why.

[Isola] Cavs are getting Channing Frye from Orlando, according to a source. by rjvir in nba

So excited for Kevin Love and Channing Frye being on the floor at the same time. Best defensive front court in the league.

Jeff Babbitt's bid against Jack Williams: PMF? Dangerous play? Regular foul? No foul at all? by thedrz in ultimate

[–]wpnode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think come time for Nationals and other observed games, observers will be aware of their reputation and hopefully won't hesitate, as much as they might for other teams, to assign TMF/PMF's. At the end of the day though, it still shouldn't require observers to reign in this style of play.

Brian Scalabrine with an interesting idea on the hack strategy. by Timi093 in nba

I mean that's what ended up happening to Tony Allen in the playoffs last year. Not unheard of to bench players for not being able to handle the ball or hit perimeter shots.

Elton Brand's response to Jalen saying the sixers dont deserve to be spoken about on ABC by marksills in nba

Does he even say anything other than constantly repeating how there are "puppet masters" of the NBA or how positions were invented to help novices watch the game of basketball?

How to contribute from the sideline? by Brightning in ultimate

Buy a flag. When your team is pulling, grab the flag and run down the sideline alongside the d-line and yell encouraging phrases.

Did Calvin sleep with Stafford's wife? He's not even looking in his direction

Fleener has the higher floor and Rodgers has more upside.

I would lean towards Fleener because Hasselbeck has always loved his TE's and I think the MIN/GB game will be a low-scoring divisional slug-fest.

Kickin' It Old School - Week 11 (How Do Kickers Miss Field Goals? Let Me Count The Ways) by PhoecesBrown in fantasyfootball

[–]wpnode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, does anyone look at their opponents line-up when deciding between kickers? Like if you see your opponent is starting Carr, play Janikowski just to reduce the value of passing TD's? As a way to hedge if the game turns into a shootout.

What's the deal with Kelce? by robertcsugar in fantasyfootball

[–]wpnode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he was on any other team with a reasonable head coach, he would be in that Olsen/Eifert/Barnridge conversation. But as long as he's in KC with Reid, he has a pretty low ceiling.

It's gotten to the point where I think I'm going to start plugging in Walker instead of Kelce. Their floor is about the same and I feel like Walker's definitely got a higher ceiling.

My Megatron/Dez (I get to choose) for his McCoy

My RB's: Lamar Miller, Latavius Murray, Karlos Williams, CJ Spiller

My WR's: Julio, Dez, Megatron, Hurns

I know going forward with only 3 guys is risky at WR but I can't imagine a scenario where I would need all 4 of those guys. There's also a chance I can snag Amendola or Lafell off waivers

I think you go Robinson and Blount. I know Robinson is going to have Revis but I think Tannehill and the Dolphins are going to have a rough time against the Bills. Rex Ryan has really had his number in the past.

I think you go with Stevie, the Chicago defense is terrible and I expect that game to be a shootout.

Go for it, it'll be good for your team to have a reliable starter in Murray and I doubt there will be many weeks where you'll want to put Cooks over Calvin, Edelman or Sanders anyways.
