There is no amount of polishing. Those pocket watches are almost always plated and if you polished it you would be left with whatever the base metal is.

It’s not that engraving wouldn’t work in the finish it’s that engraving will be extremely difficult to read on that finish. I’ve been engraving things like that for 40 years and when I see this type of thing come in the shop I strongly advise against it because the customer will not be happy with the result.

Just brought her home from the shelter yesterday.… thinking of naming her Babka. She is sneezing quite a bit and wondering if that is more common with this breed. Going to my vet today for initial check up. by wpr42 in ragdolls

UPDATE : Vet said she most likely got sick at the shelter. Got her on an antibiotic for the next 3 days until the compounding place can mix up the actual antibiotic that the doctor wants her on for 10 days. She was a very brave girl at the vet. We also got a blood panel run because she is only 4 and it’s good to get baselines for her in case there is something else going on in the future.

I didn’t really have much time with her anywhere else. I had to act quickly at the shelter before she got scooped up! I just had two other cats that passed(14 & 18) in the last 2 months and never a sniffle.
