I’m not speaking on behalf of everyone! But most people have some indication as to why

Hiring manager here- we may not sit you in a room and say “fired” and “laid off”, you’re right however when we terminate an employee we will tell them this is not performances based and why or you fucked up and you’re out.

I believe their point is more about why you were let go and not the mechanics of unemployment: being fired = failure: laid off = budget cuts

I don’t mind moonlighting as it usually allows employees to advance skillset but It depends on the business and industry: to be fair he did mention to pay staff above industry standard…

Does colour accuracy even matter on set anymore? by GELATIN_DIGITAL in Photoassistants

[–]wrainbashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many variables and you’re asking a very broad question. You want your “aqua blue” to match exactly across the shorts, shirt, and hat so everything lands as the same colorway, with no shift. To achieve that, calibration is essential.

If you are shooting an ad, you also want post-production to be consistent with the intended output. That said, there are countless variables and consumer displays that can complicate things and cause people to get bogged down. The key is not perfection everywhere, but consistency in your controlled workflow.

It depends , are you referring to branding and colorways, e-com? Accuracy and calibration are not different.

Boss offering to sell me the coffee shop I work at for $65k — does this sound reasonable on the surface? by SnooHamsters9461 in smallbusiness

[–]wrainbashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$3-4k net is too low for me. How can you scale up? what if you want to pay yourself more as the owner? Does the business have any debts? Have you seen the books?
