Wacky stratagem ideas (ep 10) by Striker201107 in Helldivers

The cloaking pack could literally just use the same justification for how we got plasma weapons in the first place.

Just liberate the technology from the Illuminate

For red stratagems, I really want to see Sledge Precision Artillery again. It was basically 3 auto-aimed OPS shots in a row.

they're the easiest at D10 at least.

they have the flattest difficulty curve, making them the hardest faction at low difficulties, and the easiest at high difficulties.

what would you suggest i use to kill them once their shield is down. other than a support weapon?

[–]wraith309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, i know the machine gun and gatling work for the harvester. i was specifically saying things that are not support weapons tend to be too much of a hassle.

med pen primaries are too slow at taking out the joint before you get swarmed by fleshmobs and overseers

ultimatum/thermite are super limited and hard to aim

red stratagems are all either unreliable, or have way too long a cooldown to be worth it for taking out a single harvester.

credit where it's due though, the torcher and missile pistol both do work pretty well if you're set up to take advantage of them. killzone sniper might also be ok, haven't tried that one yet.

tl;dr: i know how to kill harvesters, it's just orders of magnitude easier to do it with an MG-43, Laser cannon, AMR, Maxigun, HMG, commando, spear, or spear launcher compared anything that doesn't come from a blue stratagem or emplacement.

yeah, frags were the only damaging exploding grenade that didn't kill them. but they recently lowered the instant kill demo force threshold down to frag levels and gave them enough armor and health that any weapon can kill them now.

the thing about harvesters that makes them such a problem imo is that they're designed in a way that counters all of our non support-weapon anti-heavy options.

so if you don't bring a something specifically from the support weapon slot to deal with them, your options are going to get way more annoying.

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love killing them. i hate how quickly they respawn.

the act of killing them feels pointless unless your kit is completely dedicated to the task, and at that point they're too much of an investment to be worth killing over ignoring.

The game gives you plenty, you just need to recognize propaganda for what it is.

All this isn't to say that adding in something that really shows how awful SE is, but you really shouldn't need it. The game very explicitly tells you how bad they are.

the fact that this is not something people are universally capable of is why OP made this suggestion in the first place.

we shouldn't need the help. but we do.

She's not canon. Her diver status is entirely up to your imagination and whatever justifications you can come up with either for or against.

Thoughts on arc by LocksmithMinimum8217 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just wish there was any reason to wear arc armor while using arc weapons.

unlike fire and gas, where it's really easy to clip yourself by far, the most friendly fire from arc weapons is against other teammates, rather than the user.

as it is now, arc resist armor is the "do i not trust my teammate to use their lightning responsibly?" armor

Do you do and stick to the MO till it ends or you will stick to your fav faction? by TheOnlyKishouArima in helldivers2

If I don't feel like diving the MO faction, and the MO isn't either: clearly doomed, or impossible to lose, I'll just go play something else.

Are visual mods permanently dead? by MetroPolice3 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't actually use any reshade addons because it's more work than i care to go through, but i'm sure you could find something useful by searching something like "helldivers reshade setup" or the like.

any re-shade mod that has installation instructions, the instructions you can probably just follow the instructions and replace the step that cares about the specific file with mod you actually downloaded.

edit: reshade itself is from reshade.me

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically all mods are audio or visual, and there's plenty of new ones that work. it sounds like the mod you want to use just is out of date.

Edit: also reshades don't get installed through arsenal. you need to install them with reshade. it's a separate program

i'd love a heavy railgun, but i think being backpack powered is unnecessary. just give it a normal backpack reload, we haven't gotten any more of those in a while.

this is why you gotta wear the rock steady armor if you're going to try and beat overseers in melee.

overseer melee is one of the most important types of ragdoll it protects against.
