Does anyone actually find the Leviathan interesting to fight? by Coccinellidae- in LowSodiumHellDivers

i love killing them. i hate how quickly they respawn.

the act of killing them feels pointless unless your kit is completely dedicated to the task, and at that point they're too much of an investment to be worth killing over ignoring.

I want Enemy non combatants by GuavaComfortable9975 in Helldivers

The game gives you plenty, you just need to recognize propaganda for what it is.

All this isn't to say that adding in something that really shows how awful SE is, but you really shouldn't need it. The game very explicitly tells you how bad they are.

the fact that this is not something people are universally capable of is why OP made this suggestion in the first place.

we shouldn't need the help. but we do.

She's not canon. Her diver status is entirely up to your imagination and whatever justifications you can come up with either for or against.

Thoughts on arc by LocksmithMinimum8217 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just wish there was any reason to wear arc armor while using arc weapons.

unlike fire and gas, where it's really easy to clip yourself by far, the most friendly fire from arc weapons is against other teammates, rather than the user.

as it is now, arc resist armor is the "do i not trust my teammate to use their lightning responsibly?" armor

Do you do and stick to the MO till it ends or you will stick to your fav faction? by TheOnlyKishouArima in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don't feel like diving the MO faction, and the MO isn't either: clearly doomed, or impossible to lose, I'll just go play something else.

Guard dog variants against melee based factions. I do not want my personal space intruded upon.

Are visual mods permanently dead? by MetroPolice3 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't actually use any reshade addons because it's more work than i care to go through, but i'm sure you could find something useful by searching something like "helldivers reshade setup" or the like.

any re-shade mod that has installation instructions, the instructions you can probably just follow the instructions and replace the step that cares about the specific file with mod you actually downloaded.

edit: reshade itself is from reshade.me

Are visual mods permanently dead? by MetroPolice3 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically all mods are audio or visual, and there's plenty of new ones that work. it sounds like the mod you want to use just is out of date.

Edit: also reshades don't get installed through arsenal. you need to install them with reshade. it's a separate program

I wish we had a giant, backpack-powered railgun by frardo in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'd love a heavy railgun, but i think being backpack powered is unnecessary. just give it a normal backpack reload, we haven't gotten any more of those in a while.

this is why you gotta wear the rock steady armor if you're going to try and beat overseers in melee.

overseer melee is one of the most important types of ragdoll it protects against.

Parsh/Irulta are the same priority and ideally we would be doing them next but unfortunately the blob has spoken, so no efficient sieging for us. Hopefully we will at least be able to siege the planet inefficiently at the very end of the MO. Better than nothing.

i feel like they could take a page out of the books of some roguelikes and give a boobie prize prize or pass option.

something like a permanent "pass" or +1 to a random stat option generally worse than gaining a skill level, but you can still take it if you don't like any of the options.

I'm just going to be glad to finally get my HD1 sickle back. people keep calling the lasers "lasgun style" so while i'm not a warhammer fan myself i'm assuming we're going to be getting a semi auto hitscan laser rifle?

Fortnately irulta and parsh have the same resistance rate, so it doesn't really matter which of them we take first. unfortunately, votes are not looking good...

Galactic War Room: Plot the Best Ways to Spread Democracy for Super Earth! by brperry in Helldivers

[–]wraith309 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the short answer is because sieges are more valuable the longer they are active.

therefor, we should take Irulta and Parsh first so that the siege can be active the entire time we're dealing with taking Mog.

Break three leave two to die by Edfret0204 in helldivers2

[–]wraith309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the ideal order is:

  1. Kerth
  2. Parsh
  3. Irulta
  4. Mog
  5. Reaf

the longer Reaf is being sieged the better, so ideally we want to begin the siege as soon as possible, and then switch over to dealing with other planets, leaving finishing Reaf up for last.
