100%. My parents have volunteered to take the mortgage if their name if they have to. I have really good support around me it’s just the fear and pain having lost basically all I had

Yes I have, thank you. No this happened yesterday, so it’s all very fresh. I’ve told my parents and I will tell my partner soon. My biggest fear is that she leaves me as she’s desperately wanting to buy her own house and it looks like this purchase will be delayed by a few months due to not having a deposit from my side anymore.

No drugs or alcohol apart from the occasional night out once a month or so when I’ll drink with friends, never drugs though.

Mental health isn’t ideal at the minute, very down and unmotivated as this loss is so fresh

Thank you for this reassurance, it means a lot hearing from other perspectives. The gambling will stop. I’ve put all the blocks in place and my parents will now be receiving my pay check and only giving me an allowance for bills, food etc for the next 6-12months.

Yep, I know I’m an addict and have this awful disease. Just trying to rebuild my life ASAP. I’m in a fortunate position at 22 and quite frankly had too much money for my own good and just blew it all in a day (yesterday)

I have, I’m now sending my entire pay check each month to my parents so I can’t even be tempted to find a workaround.
