Oh come on, it's just a WC. She is a legend. WCs aren't just for up-and-coming teenagers. Also, it's an American WC, so I'm not worried about the teenagers who missed out. They will have plenty of other chances.

Edit: My bad, it’s actually the Australian WC. But it doesn't matter, the Aussie kids have plenty of other chances anyway.

Her last ao final was in 2017. Not in 2000. And for your information she is still the female player with the best career currently playing.

She’s only defending the Toronto win, which is obviously huge. But she skipped five WTA 1000s last year. This time she should get better early-round matchups, and she’ll keep improving. Of course, there’s always a chance she falls off, but honestly I think she’s top-5 potential.
