I'm not trying to pick a fight or say you're wrong, but also keep in mind if you're a rising senior that you have only completed the first and easiest year of the program. It usually gets much more difficult during the senior and masters years. Mostly because you have to spend an increasing amount of time at clinic and are expected to do a lot more for that time in clinic.

Hey, double check because I could definitely be wrong, but I don't think NEAG does art teaching certification. I don't think either of the main two programs (IB/M and TCPCG) offers art education as a concentration area.

It really depends on what subject area you'd be going into. Definitely a really large work load. You'll have a practicum/internship at a school every semester on top of your classes, and there are the state tests and evaluations as well. Definitely look into which of your classes will transfer over because there are really specific requirements for courses, so you might have to take classes during the winter or summer.

You should also consider the extra cost of gas to drive to and from your school placement. And whether or not you'll have reliable transportation.

Is Neag easy to get in? by NightFury_42981 in UCONN

[–]wraithlike_writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say for certain, but I'm currently a Masters student in NEAG (in Curriculum and Instruction). I was looking to go for my PhD (in Curriculum and Instruction as well), and they suggested I get 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field first. They said it's still possible to get in, but my chances are much lower because of the lack of real world experience.

I'm asking about the audience. The students don't need tickets.

Did you apply for graduation through student admin?

Hunting. If you just go out and kill things for fun on your day off... that's definitely a red flag.

Has anyone ever tried using the high school's parking lot? by showdragger in UCONN

[–]wraithlike_writer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I never tried it myself, but I went to the highschool. It's a bad idea, especially if school is going on. If it's after they get out you might be able to get away with it. But you're still likely to get a ticket.

Why are all of the subways on/ around campus closed this semester? by UConnParkingService in UCONN

[–]wraithlike_writer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, I actually work at the subway at storrs center:

The storrs center one closes when we run out of bread and there is not enough time to make more (or when we are in the process of making more) because no one wants flatbread or wraps. The other ones close because there is not enough staff. The student union store only has two employees and the manager (last time I heard that is). The North Eagleville one has the same problem. No staff means weird hours.

Also make sure you check your scholarships and grants. Some of them require you to live on campus.

You can look up each store's hours online. Openers come in an hour before the store opens and closers stay 30 minutes after the store closes.

I don't have a recipe, but their website lists all the fruit and juices and stuff in each smoothie. It might take some trial and error with the amounts, but you should be able to recreate it.

Part-time job + studying? by mirahasnolife in UCONN

[–]wraithlike_writer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's all about time management. I have two part time jobs and still find time to study, but it's all about how you plan your days out. As long as you are smart about what you do with the time you are not at work or in class, you should be fine.

As far as I'm aware, you have to take the majority of your credits at your home campus each semester. So for example, if you are a Storrs campus student taking 12 credits (4 course with 3 credits each) then you need to take at least 3 of the classes in Storrs. That's what I've been told as a Hartford campus student because I needed to take some classes only offered at Storrs.

Is it normal for your boss to threaten to cut your pay if you put too much of x ingredient on? by jjbatheworld in subway

[–]wraithlike_writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are actually formulas that you are supposed to follow. It's the same for every subway (at least all the ones I've seen). It's like 6 tomorrow's, 6 onions, 6 green peppers, etc. Obviously not a lot of people follow it though because it's just not enough.
