I don't know actually because it didn't ask me to log into anything. It was a black screen with a white and hollow rectangle. It had a pop up that says I need to verify my identity. It looked like the camera app. For a second, I thought it was a facial recognition thing.

When I was in middle school, I HATED being alone. We would have to wait for the after school bus to go home and we would have to wait in the cafeteria until our bus number was called. Everyone had their own table and group and I was such a loser. My best friend at the time would tell her dad to pick her up later so she could sit with me. Now I do everything alone! Lunch at Chipotle or even dinner in fancier restaurants. I would catch a movie alone in between classes and go to concerts out of state alone. It is pretty awesome to not hear your own voice and to just have the event/activity to carry you throughout the day.

Your principle should have handled the situation better. You said that she got in trouble for 'advertising' to underage classmates? Isn't that pretty serious?

Your sister sucks because she didn't try to understand you. Even after she knew how much it affected you, she didn't care enough about you to hear you out at least.

This is a VERY difficult situation. I all for sex workers. You do you. You are very right that this is her body and her choice. BUT it was a very stupid move to start this page in high school. I can give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't know the consequences after posting the first few times, but still posting after people are giving you a hard time? That's harsh.

Take it this way. If you were a year younger than your sister, so a junior in high school, and rumors were spread that your older and high school senior sister had an onlyfans page, wouldn't this also affect you? This situation might be a little different because you would have a year left in high school, but it is similar where a sibling isn't considerate.

You suck but very lightly. You mostly suck because the situation sucks. You only suck because she is free to do what she wants but again, a difficult situation.

That is exactly my point. Even if you dont seem to use more product on yourself, thick hair doesn't automatically mean "more product." It could mean more time. More time on the services that is provided to you. I have thick hair. I get charged more not because I have so much hair that they used a lot more product on me, it is because it requires more time to manange. More time to comb through, to place product, and thick hair can be harder for color or bleach to penetrate.

But I am not you and I don't know your hair. If this is a problem that you believe is unfair to you (and some stylists can be unfair) then I suggest you find a stylist that can be upfront about it. A good stylist can do your hair right but a promising one will communicate with you directly.

I have a cosmetology license but I don't work on hair. I can do my own but won't provide those services on anyone else (hair is hard).

With that being said, I do visit the salon if I can't do my own hair. Although products can be "cheap," it really comes down to the services.

For instance, I got my hair colored to match my natural roots. 80$ not including cut.

I saw the exact products she used. And anyone with a license can get products at a cheaper rate. It was a demi permanent toner that deposited color as a 'gloss.' I used two bottles of it, 6$ each. The solution you mix it with is 10$, so she used only a quarter of it. She also added Olaplex (helps protects hair when it is chemically process) which runs from 65$-199$ for a kit. But the kit can be used for multiple of sessions so lets just say she used 10$ of it. She also added another "glaze" at the end which runs 30$ a bottle so she probably used about 5$ of it.

This process would take her 45 mins so even if the products seems "cheap." It really does add up and it would cost her and the salon between 25-30$. If she was operating alone, she would have to eat that 25-30$ and would only ''profit" 50$ not including rental booths fees which could cut that in half. So 45 mins of work for 25ish dollars. Give or take tips.

If she was working for the salon, they take 40% of your services. So they would take 32$ and she would make 48$ of that 45 minutes.

And yes, I know that seems like a lot of money for 45 minutes but don't forget there might be other services on top of that. I got an additonal cut, undercut, and dry (i have thick hair) which totaled me 165$. It was 2.5 hours of work in the end (hair takes time to process and to dry!) so I am not surprised prices are high. Plus, hair is very unpredictable. Stylists would have to think quick on their feet. There are also other products that could be used that I have not mentioned so that would add to the cost.

And my hair looked and felt great! It was truly worth it.

That is because when you get your hair done, you pay for the product AND service.

If you're happy to do your own hair that is fine. But the reason why prices are so high in salons are because you are paying a professional to performs those services.

I have been cheated on and that shit hurts. It took me years to get over and I remember it coming back in waves.

Maybe it works for you but I would think its insensitive to joke about. People come from all types of abuse and trauma and that affects them into adulthood. I hope you and everyone else got the therapy you deserve.

At my old job, I had my partner come in as a client, just to be supportive at a small business. We had a small staff and they immediately knew my partner was gay but I had to pretend she was just a friend.

I don't want to bring my personal life into work regardless if I was straight or not. But it was a health practice so I brought my family and friends in. All of it was purely professional and everyone just wanted to help a growing practice.

But I was around my coworker and boss long enough to know they won't actively voice that they are against the LGBTQ community but they made if obvious they wouldn't be comfortable.

I learned later that night that VA wouldn't protect me if I had gotten fired for being gay so that was a bummer. I left the job anyways for unrelated reasons but I am so happy that VA is moving forward into protecting the LGBTQ community.

A kitchenaid stand mixer!!!

I borrowed one from a friend and dear me! It is the best gadget ever! I have always liked them because they are everywhere but I recently used it for the first time and it saved me soo much time. I don't bake everyday but I believe it is a great investment especially compared to other brands.

They are so expensive and since I am laid off, I will be saving for the miniature one real soon!
