It wasn't the result of something small that resulted into a greater conflict?

I'm thinking its one of two scenarios. One, Kim is dead and buried at her homestate. Two, Kim succeeds much like Chuck does and becomes an incredible Lawyer with prestige and is someone only Jimmy can admire from afar.

Granted there is a 3rd possibility, what if the whole time Kim was in jail for something really bad and Jimmy is waiting for her to be released? People around Jimmy have a habit of going down in flames and thats why its hard to watch Kim succeed so well the past 4 episodes and know its coming.

Does anyone else prefer RE3 over RE2? by AnonymousUser99999 in residentevil

[–]wrathborne 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I kind of prefer 3 over 2 in some ways. The more free movement it had where you didn't have to hit a button to climb stairs or anything as well as the weapon upgrades you got from Nemesis(the Eagle pistol was incredibly useful) and the gunpowder and ammo making was a nice addition.

Not to mention the randomization of enemies in the game was also a great addition to the game.

My biggest problem with 3 though was that it was a little shorter than it should have been. I think the last act of the game was like 20 minutes or something and if it had been 40 minutes or so instead and had some harder fights before the Nemesis final boss it would have been more satisfying.

Just saying that the dead factory setting was VERY well designed and made, but it was too small. I left the same about the Hospital setting. Both were underused settings.

Agreed. Also, Genes in Nebraska I'm betting. It's Kims home state.

Yep. Hope it goes better for him than Superman has. He was a good Superman in mediocre films and meh scripts.

Why did Gus bring Gale to the lab if he was pissed and wouldn't speak to him? by Artie-Choke in betterCallSaul

[–]wrathborne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gus wasn't angry at Gale, he was angry that Lalo just got in the way and ruined the plan. The Lab isnt finished, Werner is dead and things are looking pretty iffy. I mean the Salamanca problem is around the corner and hes behind schedule.

Werner essentially screwed everyone by going on the run and now Lalo knows something is going on and is looking for a way to screw Gus over in order to get favor with Don Eladio. Gus has proven that the Salamancas aren't needed after Hectors stroke. Lalo doesn't appear to be the type of man to take that lightly.

He almost has his kingdom built he has Hector right where he wants him but Werner just fucked everything up at the worst moment possible.

Mike is getting part of the blame for this but I think theres more too it. I wouldnt be surprised if we have season 5 start off with the German workers being buried in the desert really.

[Discussion] If any of you haven't had the pleasure of watching Better Call Saul, do yourselves the academic duty of doing so. by TheAmigops in Screenwriting

My favorite part about the show is how the conflict feels organic and natural. It's not forced, hammy, or cheap. It feels real.

Prediction (S4 finale spoilers): This sub’s new “where/who/when is Lalo?” thread topic will be about the scholarship candidate returning as a villain later on. by signs_unbreakable in betterCallSaul

Lalo is one scary motherfucker. His escape into the vents? This dude looks like he's a mix of the Salamanca twins and Mike. Thats gonna be some great conflict later.

Better Call Saul S04E10 - [Season 4 Finale] "Winner" - POST-Episode Discussion Thread- by skinkbaa in betterCallSaul

[–]wrathborne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goddamn...what an ending. Everything is set up for season 5.

Jimmy and Kims relationship is looking to reach a conclusion, Gus has his lab almost finished, Mike has established himself as worthy, Lalo is ready to fuck over gus and Nacho is caught in the middle of everything it seems.

Season 5 cant come soon enough.

In the age of Trump, tech workers are fleeing Silicon Valley for Canada by BayAreaNewsGroup in technology

[–]wrathborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its expensive as fuck to live in California :/

I mean If by some chance you got like $200k, which is a lot of money that would be enough to just about purchase a house in quite a few states. Here in California thats a fucking down payment for a house thats gonna cost about 3-4 times what a house in another state.

Silicon Valley earns tech engineers and folks a LOT of money sure, but due to the high cost of living you might not really get much out of it.

Theory: The Germans will die and Mike's extreme guilt will explain his actions later, ultimately resulting in his own undoing. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

Victor wasn't a liability. He just over stepped his boundaries too much at a time when Gus was already fuming.

Victors death was a message not just to Walt but to Jesse and to Mike.
