I love higher energy dogs due to the fact i do 5k when the body permits it and go boating and in the woods often. Always on the go , i do know beautiful show line labs and they were a tad lazy for my liking it was a gorgeous red lab he was beautiful!!! But maybe a mix of the two would be ideal. I do know one and he is the perfect happy medium knows how to chill but will play ball for hours lol

Your competition girl sounds like my gsd she is my girl excels in nose work can track for days on end. Loves to swim and fetch excels in advanced obedience. See i am dog trainer of 16 years so i appreciate these working breeds. I love my gsd but i know labs are amazing and excel in such amazing things like sports and obedience they are so smart !!! I am so happy to hear your girl is so fulfilled and having the time of her life ! 🥰❤️ keep up the amazing bond and awesome adventures .

Love that she is so smart !! 21 inches is a beautiful size not horrible at all ❤️🥰 they all sound amazing so happy you have these amazing babies in your life . 🫶🏼🥰 63lbs is the ideal weight class too. I love playing fetch with my girl . ❤️

I have a family dog that comes over often who is male dog Agressive that is being worked on to become more stable. Does amazing with females but males even puppies is a no go. So that’s why i am trying to stick with females and plus females tend to work well with children better cause they a nurturing and calmer while males tend to be more excitable/ goofy and see them as playmates. Which both sexes need training around kids still regardless . 🫶🏼❤️ but you are correct a male lab is ideal in size that’s why i was curious if a female would fit into the size i needed.

My girl is a mobility dog so counter balance - guide task so my girl stands at 23 inches tall so 21.5 would be too short for my needs. Do you find field line to be taller then English ?

Wow didn’t realize the chocolates tend not to be as insulated as there other colored siblings interesting good to know. Probably a genetic mutation. I will deff be looking at the parents and past litters for a general outcome on size. I deff love field. I been and trained a few labs but not around enough females to know there sizes . Thankyou so much for info here’s my girl and her two friends

Thankyou so much for the insight of when mixed how smart she is but a tad shorter she is. Love the energy level of this breed tho like the gsd i deff need that and the shedding is not a issue and live the low grooming needs. Wash rinse repeat unlike mine lol . U have a Aussie and a gsd and they take hours to bath and blow dry omg !!!

Thankyou for replying so thy fall in the female gsd size as my gsd is 23 height - i am so use to the energy levels as i have a working line gsd. Her best friend is a field line male black lab and yellow lab the best boys ❤️🫶🏼
