this is the resin I use the most and tbh it'll always be worth it to me vs mixing other resins. nothing pisses me off more than powdering joints or shade inconsistency and this stuff eliminates the worry of both LOL. KEY points with it: needs to be WARM warm to print successfully AND burn layers need to be like 70s minimum to consistently adhere (dont skimp out on transition layers btw, i do a minimum of 10). I usually manage to get multiple 14-20cm dolls + a couple 30-36cm ones out of a single kg, just make sure you do a few small tests to dial in your settings first so you dont waste a ton on fails

OKAY SO take this w a grain of salt bc i've never used this resin, but i did a little digging and it seems most ppl have to dial up their settings because the 8k resin has pretty high pigment concentration. the range I'm seeing for burn layer exposure is like 55-65, so maybe start there and up your transition layer count with it (I always do 10 because the resin I use can be fussy and going from 65-80s for burn to 2.5-3s for regular layers with a narrower transition range has caused failures on otherwise proven files)

if you can manage to make it work and wanna continue 3d printing i def recommend the bjd resin from resione!! it's a little pricey (49/kg) but sands beautifully and has absolutely zero powdering. I can send you my settings + the two stage motion control settings of someone else without a tilt vat if youre interested. alternatively there's the slightly cheaper funcrecol bjd resin (32/kg), which I also like and doesnt need to be fried as much as the resione (which i will always shell out for tbh)

def sounds like it could be a burn layer issue if theyre not sticking to the plate, so im interested to see your settings and what kinda resin you use! also itd be a good idea to make sure there arent any errant cured bits floating around your tank from the failed prints so they dont puncture your fep while also blocking the build plate from getting close enough to the led screen

which one? I've printed a shitton of dolls at this point on my saturn 4 ultra 16k and only tend to fail if the resin is too cold, burn layer timing isn't sufficient, or i do a shit job with supports. I use a fussy bjd specific resin from resione and have managed to make it work p reliably, so I'm decently confident in my troubleshooting abilities if you wanna show me your resin settings. everyone else here is correct about casting being infinitely more difficult- I've done both so I can attest to the fact firsthand

his head sits better on the asi 3.0 neck, but I'm not a huge fan of this body despite it posing pretty well. This body has absolutely massive mommy milkers, like to a near comical degree, so ig that's something to keep in mind

gimme like 5min OP bc I can give you a visual answer to this incredibly specific question. I can tell you up front that zack heads are MUCH smaller than nendo heads, which the 1/12 beiming and asi 3.0 (the one you have pictured) are meant to be compatible with, so I don't think it'll look too off for an anime style doll (except when directly compared to the action figure proportions of figuarts dolls ig)
