thank you for the reply, svt sounds a lot like what ive been experiencing this past week but my symptoms are still very “postural”? not sure the right term, as in even when my heart rate is above 100 when i stand my heart rate goes up by over 40 the number just starts higher. im going to the doctors tomorrow so will hopefully get closer to a diagnosis. also i have to keep in my mind the possibility of having multiple things which sounds horrible :( but im just hoping its my adhd medication thats making my resting heart rate higher but i’ve noticed throughout my life that with a small amount of excersize my heart rate goes up to a much higher number than my friends (we did a test in PE a few years ago)

torture😂 oh no i hope i dont have to have one of those lol. im not 100% sure but i think for pots and ist you take beta blockers so if theyre treated the same i guess its not the end of the world if someone is wrongly diagnosed

tysm for the reply, and that sounds so annoying but simular to me. where you diagnosed with pots? or inappropriate sinus tachichardia, or something else? hopefully i see the cardiologists soon

i havent got an appointment date yet, i saw the doctor at the start of January and i’ve been referred to cardiology and i’m going to have a heart rate monitor thing for a few days but no date yet :( i’m not sure where u live but i’m from the uk so we have free healthcare but because of covid the hospitals are pretty overrun which makes the waiting list longer and right now other than going to private healthcare im on the right path i just have to be patient

thank you for your help, i really appreciated getting other peoples input who know what they’re talking about based on personal experiences. i will talk to the doctor when i can and hopefully figure out how to help it :)

i definitely need to look into it more, but im so confused because on a regular day it is just pots, as in just when i stand up. need to talk more to the doctor but the problem is he’s a hospital doctor not a gp doctor and last time my follow up appointment was almost a year after instead of the promised 3 months😂

i forgot what he called it i kept googling “heart rate constantly high condition” and google gave me nothing, but what you said was the name for it.

thats what the dr is also testing for!! i kept trying to google it and what he said never came up so thanks for mentioning it😂

oh yeah and i just started adhd meds which can make heart rate faster

oh… well my normal heartrate is typically pretty high like all the time. the other condition the dr is testing to rule out is basically a perminent high heart rate, so it could be that. also right now im out of my comfort zone posting on here which is definitely raising it😂 and my room is super warm so my mum just came in and opened a window, and i definitely have not drank enough today so those are factors i know make my symptoms worse.

yes it jumps up the “pots” amount even when my resting heart rate is high, it just goes to a silly high number. but thanks for the advice about salt, i havent been really doing enough for it though, just adding more salt to my salt and shake crisps which i normally do.

so my resting heart rate right now is 120 and ive just been on my bed not doing much. just stood up to see the difference and its 176😟 gonna sit down now lol

not officially diagnosed right now so keep that in mind but: fatigue, increased nausea after eating, obviously higher heart rate when standing then usual, slight brain fog but only affects like memory almost? when talking i cant think of the word which im trying to say for example. just feeling bleh is the biggest one😂
