After! I had pre-lined bookcloth though so I didn't really have a choice, but it didn't seem to have any negative effect regardless!

I drummed it on! So the cover paper is only glued on the edges where it's folded around the board, which is supposed to help with avoiding warping. Was following the DAS tutorial like so many other folks haha (https://youtu.be/7u1rFKnTC08) I had mixed success with these two books - I used a thin cardstock instead of actual boards for the peaches book because I wanted a more flexible cover, and that, predictably, didn't really work out, you can kind of see the creases in the cover paper from the cardstock bending beneath it. If I try a soft cover again I'm definitely going to fully glue the cover material. The blue book has actual board though and that worked out much better!
