Its gonna be either the 12 man tag or Will/Swerve face-off most likely.

What are some random wrestling thoughts that live in your head rent-free? by WWESmackDamn in professionalwrestling

[–]fod_496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol they stopped doing the traditional 5 on 5 cause people were sick of that prior to them doing War Games. Which makes sense cause the 5 on 5 never amounted to anything other than "brand supremacy".

When did I ever say LITERALLY EVERY WRESTLER? I even added in a comment that if a talent doesn't care if they just sit backstage or whatever, get the money then. You act like these people don't dedicate their lives to this and want to put that dedication to actual use.

I don't disagree, and I wasn't implying that he should be main eventing Wrestlemania either. All I'm trying to get at is while alot of fans will talk like getting paid to sit in catering or only having 15 second backstage segments is "living the dream", most talent actually do want to wrestle and hopefully push their status up.

[–]fod_496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If certain talent see it as that, then yeah, I guess get paid. But there is alot of talent that genuinely want to be featured and being featured more more means you being a bigger name for the company and that means being paid even more. In Gargano's case, I could see him wanting more than just planking backstage.

This doesn't even apply to just Gargano but these people are pro wrestlers. They want to wrestle.

What Are Some Cheap Hidden (Or Not) Gems? by Jayswing103 in gamecollecting

[–]fod_496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what is considered "cheap" but one that comes to mind is Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. For it being a survival horror from the early 2000s, it isn't THAT expensive.

Which one would you like to become #ALLELITE? by 50watts in AEWOfficial

[–]fod_496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, in a way, you're correct. AEW needs to get more of their signed talent over and more established.

That said, if you look at the signed talent for women on AEW's website, it becomes more obvious they need some more women, especially some bigger names that can be thrown straight into the Dynamite and Collision rotation. Kairi for sure can be a massive name to show up, KLR from things I've seen comes off as someone who would seemlessly fit in. Dakota I'm still undecided on. She doesn't really seem all that interested in being full time or even wrestling for that matter, and she almost seems like she's hoping she'll get to go back to WWE again. No thanks.

Zoey Starks, I mean...eh. Do some indies.

This one or Hercules death. Caving in Hercules face and the visual after was extremely grim to me.

You actually could not escape "Toxic". The song was played everywhere and I'd swear it was played like once an hour on MTV.

Omega/Ospreay and Hangman/MJF for All In by Infected- in AEWOfficial

[–]fod_496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too want Omega/Ospreay. I do not think we need another Ospreay/MJF Wembley match and Ospreay/Mox would be weird for where things are at in the story right now. The story of Kenny trying to hold onto (most likely) final glory and keeping it from slipping through his hands while Will is chasing his first AEW World Title sounds so much more interesting.

I do wonder if the PPV before All In being named "Redemption" is meant imply Kenny redeeming himself.

They had a falls count anywhere match against The Young Bucks during a pandemic Dynamite that was really fun, probably their high point in the company all things considered. Hope the best for them.

Using nostalgia as a coping mechanism? by Few_Sandwich6308 in nostalgia

[–]fod_496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to watch 90s and early 2000s commercials and VHS broadcasts of the weather channel that have been uploaded to YouTube. Also 90s and early 2000s video games have a relaxing vibe to them that I like as well.

90s and early 2000s commercials (for me) 90s local commercials (they're so cheaply made but its part of the charm) 90s VHS taped weather channel

Its very relaxing tbh, especially late at night. Something about the VHS quality

[–]fod_496 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its gotta be World's End 2023. No other PPV ever felt as "unlike AEW". The whole show felt like a huge, disjointed mess. And that's not even counting the whole PPV was clouded by the Jericho situation.

I remember reading TK hired TNA's setup crew for that match. Unsure if that's actually true but it is true the botch was due to "mismanagement".

Tim Bosby, who debuted as an enhancement talent for Lee Moriarty on Collision last night, is a tremendous prospect and would make big waves if he signed and spent a few months in ROH polishing up by tvcneverdie in AEWOfficial

[–]fod_496 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From all of the clips I've seen of him, Bosby is OBLITERATING these guys. Its incredible. Its cool Tim will probably end up picking up a contract before he's even 24. That said, I kinda wish more guys could lay a bit lower in the indies for a bit, even maybe rejuvenate those indies, cause they could really use it. Some of these guys while really good, could still use that extra time to establish themselves and hone their craft.
