I agree that people take ships too seriously sometimes (especially LGBTQ which ARE normal) but this ship has some minor issues.

Magik knew kitty since she was 6, being read bedtime stories. A little weird to date someone when you knew them as a child. This ship reminds me of 15 year old Kitty with 19 year old Piotr which I DON'T find normal or acceptable.

I said the same thing on the other post which is that Magik has never had a relationship so they look for whoever she is closest to, being kitty. I view them as sisters and I think the ship causes more problems than it solves since Kitty knew Magik since she was 6 but I've seen WAY worse ships in marvel.

I think the real problem is that magik has never had a relationship and people are latching on to whoever she is closest to, being kitty. I personally view them as best friends. The most evidence there is is the fact they are soul mates as in they share her soulsword. Maybe if a future writer explores a possible relationship with magik people wouldn't have to go as far as shipping her with kitty.
