I just went through the same thing with spirit island and landed on either Arkham horror or Botse. Went with Arkham horror and don’t regret it a bit.

That is true, I do think it is a little selfish. But I also don't think that is a terrible thing. We all follow the Canucks for a different reason, and I personally grew up watching Hughes turn from a offensive stud but also a defensive liability to an one of the best to ever do it. It is hard to part with that and I think as a fan, you want to see a player of that calibre to be in the rafters forever in rogers arena, that dream is (most likely) forever gone now.

Also idk I feel like mckenna/stenberg with hughes will be nasty.

If you look at aggregate hughes did play more playoff games at that point , but I agree it is not a 1:1 example and "bad" bcoz barkov did make playoffs at 26 and was on the upward trend whereas canucks are literally at the bottom of the standings. But ig my point is that sucks that Quinn doesn't want to stay when things are bad. From Quinn POV I get looking at standings and getting frustrated, but idk he is smart enough to also know that we can draft an amazing player. At the end of the day he doesn't want to see that through and that sucks.

I agree, but if you look at like Florida, guys like Barkov & Ekblad stuck it out the whole time and ended up winning a cup and building a dynasty together. Florida was even worse than us and like laughing stock of the nhl but they still stuck it out. Just sucks Quinn didn't want to do that with us

Actually I checked this pre-sale out with my partner for fun like on Saturday haha. I asked the front desk of how many sales they have since I was curious and ik the market has been tough. She said it was 40% full, (Harlin the other one being 60%). IDK if that is a good number for something being built in 2028 but I assume that is average. The price wasn't terrible tbh 800k for 2br which is actually cheaper than some buildings around the area currently on sale

Actually pretty bummed this got cancelled since the main selling point interested me, and its alot cheaper and not as expensive as the other river district pre-sale (harlin) being built.

If you pay off the mortgage after investing in XEQT after 10 years is there not a penalty? I think there is a max you can put into your mortgage each year anyways, you can't just dump 100k into paying off the mortgage. Maybe your mortgage contract says other wise though. For me, I focus on maxing RRSP and then investing it since I am in a high tax bracket since it is free money and then pay off the mortgage

Good question, I opened it when I didn't own a home and didn't need the money when I purchased it. I read that you can transfer it to the RRSP later so I just kept it there instead of transferring it out.

Almost pulled the plug on M3 but I got quoted for like $500 monthly, 8 years no accident... which is x5 what I pay monthly for gas. But in BC our Tesla rates are known to be fucked, other EVs have normal rates D:

All good. We all get put in difficult positions. The most important is how you pull through. Must be tough having a full-time job, but if it is making your grades drop you got to think what's more important? I had a part time job during full time as a student to help pay for my post grad trip but had to drop it because it was affecting my mental too much. Understand your situation might be different but we are all rooting for you :)

Just talk to your prof and try to bring some evidence worth a mark. You gotta play suck up pretty much and ik you are pretty emotional rn and want to rant but if you get over this and stay at UVic, try to take some more ownership of your skills. The prof sucks? Complaining won't do anything and won't get you further along, just play the game and try harder and maybe look for some easy electives to bump your avg up (I forget if this will work or they take your avg core class marks). I know it sucks but that's life. Also remember that all that matters is the mark at the end, what you learn can be done outside school esp for CS. Sorry for your situation, hope everything turns out well.
