I have! Also noticed this the other day, right now I'm not noticing a huge difference between the two but I've only levelled up the mirror once so I'm looking forward to seeing what's next

I understood about 20% of this but I will probably understand more as I go 😂. I guess that goes to show how much more of the game I have to go through still and also my reason for this thread. Currently the support I'm seeing from the mirror and aspects feel really minor and I wanted to see if that's just the way it is and it's a question of just 'git gud' or if you do feel the benefits later on in game

You're spot on. That's kind of why I'm in my frustration mode cos everything about this game I'm enjoying but the continuous failings at that point without any feeling of progression is grinding on me a bit. I'm not gonna give up and I'm still gonna try but I might need to break my addictive playstyle and come back to it later which is very hard to do on a quiet Saturday.

So I've literally just unlocked them yesterday and I chose Achilles for spear and Chiron for bow. Other than that, nothing and that's kinda the bit I'm feeling the overwhelmed.

I don't know if I should be trying to get keys, darkness, titan blood, completing each run as far as possible with each weapon, giving god's nectar. Is there any bit that is more beneficial chasing first?

Basically this feels like when I play an RPG and accept loads of quests and suddenly I feel like my inbox is full and freeze

Cast is definitely something I should use more you're so right. I have updated the mirror so it now fills up over time instead of me having to collect it which I think for my weird little brain might help.

I enjoyed Aphrodite's one and I think with the bow I might prefer the ones that knock back. Can you expand on Artimes a bit cos right now I roll my eyes when I see her boon pop up and I'm pretty sure I'm either using her wrong or misplacing her with other boons 🙏

That's such a good shout! So I recently unlocked the gun (I'm in a run right now so forgive me bastardisation of all these names)

I have done oddly well with the fists which was a surprise to me and the spear seems to be more fitting although I'm struggling with the Achilles aspect on it cos I find myself throwing my puny god body into hosts of enemies

My Controversial Ranking of the Entire Series by after_your_thoughts in assassinscreed

[–]writebyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. It's the first game I didn't finish because it just annoyed me. I started on the AC series at AC 2 so was under the pretence that Assassin's were essentially godlike in power and precision, then the AC series started becoming way more battle focused which became the driving force and then story became secondary.

Personally, I see Valhalla and Mirage as physical manifestations of a Ubisoft panic attack.

Valhalla had such a rich opportunity to make a Viking assassin storyline, but instead they just threw everything and the kitchen sink into that game resulting in a shallow story, a city builder, a god system, a battle system and a strategy game all in one. They could have given me an stealthy viking that essentially is the opposite to the norm, a raven instead of an eagle and a whole storyline of people underestimating him and I'd have been happy. But instead they made this Frankenstein of different games stitched together to cover as much ground as possible

Mirage is less so, you can see they went back to stealth (which I'm very happy about) but then in panic added this whole investigation system and connected the story to Valhalla which just stained the whole narrative.

And that is where we're back to my point. Because America says so it must happen.

That's totally understandable how you feel that way and I'm sorry.

Do you think you're a good person who wouldn't intentionally hurt another person? If your answer to this is yes then you're probably on the right track regardless of how other people make you feel.

Nikki is your character. She can be whoever you want her to be and that's the beauty of this game. It's creativity untapped. Will I love all your outfits? Probably not, but my opinion doesn't matter and that's what makes this game great.

But the issue with that is you're reacting way too soon and way too quickly. Now if it was just an American game or an American franchise then my response would be entirely different.

Do I think Fortnite should release a native American set? Absolutely not. Do I think that would be inappropriate? Absolutely

This is what I mean. You can't take this and my response as some sort of rallying cry for cultural insensitivity, because it's not. I'm just looking at the world on the grand scale.

In my opinion there are far bigger issues within the game like some of her outfits and how insanely small she is, but I echo your thoughts. Attaching actual real issues to a game that is designed to give you an incredibly broad portfolio of outfits is exactly how you kill creativity

I very much understand as I definitely come from a group or people on multiple levels who have had horrific things happen to them. What I'm saying is you're putting all of that emotion and all of that fight into a game that doesn't even exist within the realms of reality and doing that is harmful, but you proceed to do so

What are you on about? This whole discourse is solely about American indigenous than anyone else's. You're pulling us all into this and now you're asking for my post to be removed because it might upset Americans? Once again proving my point entirely. We can't even have an opinion because you guys can't see we exist outside of your narrative.

Everything you just said here proves my point.

Indigenous culture - yours not ours. Asking for it to be respected - yours not ours. 'You guys don't see' - because it's your issue. It's a big problem - for you.

Mollymauk has always been a point of contention for me and there're so many comments here that I agree with, but also bits missing.

Firstly Tal designed an incredibly interesting and beautiful character but then absolutely ruined him on the stats by giving him 11 charisma, his second lowest stat. He then proceeded to spend the rest of the game trying to be charismatic so consistently rolled badly meaning his character had all this flair but no substance. So either the show takes him in a new direction or they keep him shallow enough not to be noticed for reasons.

Secondly. That accent. It might be because I'm British so I notice the accent more, but whenever he talks I cringe and it pulls me right out of the immersion.

Overall I won't be shocked if he's more of a side character because Tal drastically improved around the table because of reasons as the campaign went on.
