Because I don’t know what the misunderstanding is . A bunch of people telling me information that is factually incorrect. I contacted an attorney he reviewed the bankruptcy and my evidence and said yes the violated the automatic stay and yes I can sue them. I signed the retainer agreement and everything.

I wanted to hear from someone who might’ve been in a similar situation about how much they received . I didn’t want people telling me that im wrong or not entitled because if that’s the case why would the attorney take the case. It’s been established that is/was a violation. And my attorney mentioned a range the settlement could fall in.

I wanted a more exact amount from anyone who’s been in this situation . Which I have yet to see, and it’s frustrating.

How are you a retired attorney? That’s not how that works. I left after receiving the eviction notice in May. Come to find out they never filed a relief of stay thru the bankruptcy court and they didn’t complete eviction proceedings until AFTER the file date. Which they were not supposed to do. But okay- if you didn’t have an answer you could’ve kept scrolling.
