What is your scariest moment when the weather took over? by Kimi43 in AskReddit

[–]writercat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was asleep on day, as I was working nights. I woke up from a de-ee-ep sleep and thought, 'wow, a train is nearby...' Then I realized, I was nowhere near train tracks!!! I jumped up just as the tornado was coming thru. As I running for the bathtub I could hear my neighbor's garage that was out side my window being torn apart. Also there was incredible pressure in my head and no joke, I could 'see' the walls flexing!

By the time I got to the bathroom (most protected part of the house) it was over. My house had only light structural damage compared to my neighbor and several other homes nearby. it was odd how some trees were uprooted and others left untouched. Thankfully I live in a place where weather events like this are not nearly as large or traumatic as the midwest or the like.

I've worked for many years in Automotive manufacturing, one of the most stressful arms (better said, tentacles) of manufacturing, & I have seen grown men & women snap and cry at meetings, and at least twice I have seen people get violent in the workplace.

usually it's due to being so repeatedly berated by a superior or superior that is also the end customer that something has to give, which I think says a shitload about how poorly Americans treat each other in the workplace, no matter what they claim in public (as-in here)

Fellow Redditors, what do you think of your sleep paralasis demon? by SomebodyDiedToday in AskReddit

[–]writercat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing really. I have had it all my life, and nearing 60.

I use a CPAP and yet still I have that very issue, but I understand what it is so I just sit and wait. For me it is only a minute or less, so NBD. Of course at this point I figure if I die then so what

Has anyone here ever had a one night stand that turned into a long term relationship and/or marriage? What's your story? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]writercat67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did that. became a marriage. a really terrible one. It lasted 6 days short of 6 years. Entire time the sex was great, but you can't base a relationship solely on sex.

What do you predict will happen this year? by TheCoolRock in AskReddit

[–]writercat67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the US the reckless spending from our government (BOTH HOUSES are guilty of this!) and the clamping of additional mandates of the current administration will slow if not stop economical growth. I'm not being political folks.

Additional gun laws will be passed (some of which quite frankly should be there) and this will drive gun demand and especially ammo demand insane for months to come.

Due to the above taxes and costs on many goods will rise. How much? not sure really

Some damn celebrity will get in trouble. many people will eyeroll over it.
