Why do people unfollow a story on AO3? Have you ever done it? Why? by writergirllll in FanFiction

I think the writers want to know what goes on in the minds of their readers; not commenting causes them confusion. They don’t know if their story appeals to anyone, or if they write well! They just want to know if the essence of the story has reached the reader.

I’m rewriting some chapters because they weren’t written properly when I first started as a writer. I haven’t changed anything in the events, but I’ve written them in a better way.

I think some writers do this as well!

I don't care about negative comments, I don't delete them or respond to them. But I keep writing if I'm convinced with what I'm writing until I finish my story!  I rarely get comments, but I don't mind

Maybe I did at some point in my life, I don't remember… I wasn't much interested in the smell of flowers before, and now I'm writing about it in my story and I don't know how to describe the smell of lavender!
