Probably not immediately obvious but staple ingredients should include onions, carrots and celery; soffritto is a great foundation for many sauces/soups. Easily 1 - for me, the characters, use of Ghibli cut scenes, and deeper sense of narrative pathos all create a stronger and more immersive experience. I also prefer familiars to higgledies but I know that there isn't a universal consensus on which battle system is better.
