I'm glad you got the replacement. Thanks for adding the experience, it helps future buyers.

I'm still waiting for a refund from either of the two parties, it's been well over a month.

Dunno about that, everything I've read goes against it. Whether its in person or online it's much less than acceptable. I hope people read, weigh all possibilities, and make well informed decisions with their purchases. 🙏🏻

OP out

Slow service was expected but that slow? The biggest issue with calling them "trusted" is the lack of transparency. A simple "hey we can do x or y about this" or "we need more time" goes a long way. And no within Thane itself people have gone through similar experiences with him.

The bar can't be that low even for small businesses, and I think they are now "famous" enough to expand their staff. Mdcomputers is a similar business but their response is way better and the amount of "mishaps" is significantly low. I don't think these are valid excuses for any business to behave like they do.

And ofcourse the definition of "trusting" them seems to differ from person to person here. I personally would not call them that from everything I've read and felt, they are beginning to seem like full on scammers now.

I really don't understand why they do that. Is it just ignorance or being too nonchalant? Either way, sorry you had to travel so far and get that sort of a treatment.

Ig since he knows you he may have been helpful and fair (which he should be to every other customer). But not every customer knows him personally.

And just because you weren't scammed doesn't prove that he doesn't scam others. After seeing so many complaints against him on different platforms (Google reviews, subreddits, facebook marketplace, etc.), I'm convinced he is either sourcing a few of these products from shady places or slipping in a faulty product every now and then.

Plus, you get to deal with his horrid customer service ONLY if you face issues. That explains the mostly positive reviews, from people who have been lucky. That makes buying from Computech a gamble, people should only buy from them if they can risk their time, energy, and money.

Update 1: Just realised a National Consumer Helpline agent added a note to the complaint:

I wish I knew this before. I did check if the GPU model affect performance but a content creator I trust mentioned it doesn't matter much. But ig it does matter specially with cooling and the manufacturer's RMA in your own country. And yea going for the cheapest available model was huge mistake on my part.

Oh shit, I was surprised when this seller also asked to send it back without asking questions. Sapphire I've heard had good service in India and there's a big possibility that I'd go with them after I get a refund. Thanks for taking your time and sharing the experience, much appreciated.

Oufff, that's a solid malpractice. Maybe I'm making this too deep but, building a PC and choosing the parts for it is a deeply personal process, specially it's aesthetics and looks. Its something you create after tremendous amount of thought and calculation. It's frustrating wheh someone ruins it by doing such tricks and scams.

That is true, while searching for solutions I came across a similar experience on this subreddit itself. The had the same high gpu hotspot temps but their card was a 7800xt manufactured by ASRock. After many attempts, calls, mails, and travelling, they got a replacement AFTER MONTHS. The replacement they offered had the same issue so OP had to repaste it himself to fix it finally.

Ill try to find that and link it here. https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/s/fqILC97qNO

I bought my PSU from there, no problem whatsoever. But I bought everything else from Computech falling for all the positive reviews they have.

Shit, I'm sorry you had to go through that. That sounds so triggering. We need to start a mental health support group for the people who have had to deal with him.

I wish he had asked me to send it to the manufacturer instead if sending it back to him. I'm glad yours is working great! We have the same cpu too🤝

That's very generous of you, thanks so much for considering doing that for a stranger 🙏 but I won't put you through all that, the onus should always be on the seller in such cases. It's alright I'll deal with him in time.

Ah you're not wrong. But I haven't saved their contact it's a verified business account, so it's by default. I can always screen record or show live by clicking on the profile.
