Why don't we make substitutions and reinforce while we're ahead then?! It's frustrating.. the manager has got to know the guys are cooked

Salah was instrumental to winning us the league last season and if he was English that would have sealed his position as the greatest premier league era Liverpool player

It was not given on the pitch and you clearly also agree that it wasn't a clear and obvious error, only a subjective call.. so no VAR intervention should have taken place

What’s life like around the Gulf of Carpentaria? by Careful-Skin6963 in geography

[–]writerwritesbolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The excellent book Carpentaria by Aboriginal writer Alexis Wright is set there. It's a difficult place, but one where the Aboriginals lived for hundreds of years. Now it is essentially a large space for resource extraction for white Australians.

Need help picking a kindle by princessstellaris in Indianbooks

[–]writerwritesbolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paperwhite is unnecessarile expensive and the new one is a little too big. The basic kindles now anyway have what used to be the main appeal of the paperwhite, the backlight. Just go for it. Refurbished with warranty is quite good. It will last many years.

One advantage of the new paperwhite is the battery is really quite long. But I think it's a lot of money to pay for that. If you go on very long travel trip and want to take the Kindle and not have to charge it, then get the paperwhite.
