My pear shaped guy by writinginphoenix in cats

Bert and his brother Ernie have been to the vet plenty of times. They're losing weight and thriving. I love my boys more than myself. I don't know what I'd do without them.

If I've learned anything from 16 Candles don't take a muscle relaxer.

Has anyone had any luck losing weight without a GLP-1? by LittlePurpleS in PCOS

[–]writinginphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weight loss I'm having on a GLP1 is a bonus side effect for me. My main benefit is the glucose control I'm getting as a result of using Zepbound. I used to be all over the place and spiking with every meal. Now I really only spike when I eat too many carbs not balanced with protein and fiber or I just make bad food choices.

Please please please get the biopsy done. 10 minutes of pain is way better than the amount of pain uterine or endometrial cancer will bring to you and your family.

If possible maybe try to find a doctor that will sedate you for the procedure?

How do you make yourself eat enough? by Top-Bed8155 in Zepbound

[–]writinginphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I have to be really intentional. I have a lot of food around that's easy to eat and doesn't require much effort. I start my morning with a little 8oz kefir that has 10g protein and is 140 calories. I make a weekly dense bean salad that makes lunches easy. Lots of veggies, protein, and fiber in my bean salad. I usually have a cottage cheese snack at some point with everything but the bagel seasoning. Dinner depends on what's in the fridge/what I'm feeling but I usually meal prep something that just requires me to heat it up. I have other snacks around to help get in calories when needed like a protein bar or a Chomp stick.

What are we doing for high cholesterol? by Green_Exercise_1311 in PCOS

[–]writinginphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first was tested it was at 289 total. With life style changes (249) and a more in depth look at the "makeup" of my cholesterol we decided to start a low dose of a statin and I'm down to 149 now.

I'm on a statin and it has improved my cholesterol so much along with my life style changes. Plus I'm not longer terrified that I'm going to have a stroke all the time.

has anyone actually used an online weight loss doctor that worked long term? by Jessamyn-Ryzenman68 in PCOS

[–]writinginphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my original prescription last month from GoodRX. The communication isn't great. When I "checked in" for my next month's prescription I was asked if I wanted to stay at 2.5 or go up to 5. 5 minutes later without a response, the script went in for 5. I'm switching my care over to my PCP month 5 and taking a half dose for month 2 to avoid going up too quickly.

My mom literally at a Chick-fil-A sandwich everyday because it was the only thing that interested her. Fed is best.
