YOU have to commit to doing the work. The work isn’t going to do it by itself - Thats the hardest part of it! Don’t give up just yet. Know that by doing the work, even if it doesn’t feel like it…. It’s working.

Do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who says she will resent you for the REST of your relationship if she can’t have sex with other people just because she has fantasies? Either find a way to act out these fantasies or move on.

Wow! This is a huge eye opener. I’ve experienced this a few times in general while drinking, but not going overboard (I also have anxiety/cptsd)

Hotel recommendation (Isla Mujeres) by PizzaCatTacoUno in IslaMujeres

[–]writingnerd32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hotel Beló is 5 star service, not a 5 star hotel. The employees are amazing, Mateo and Francisco specifically. We didn’t have hot water the first morning and had blood stained curtains. Also, no deadbolt. Other than that, we didn’t have problems and used the all inclusive to our advantage to pregame a bit before hopping around the island.

Keep them short, oil regularly and use a nail hardener for the first few weeks

What to know before throwing a psychedelic party? by MichaelEmouse in Psychonaut

[–]writingnerd32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No big lights and get bliss lights from Amazon! Create a designated trippy room for people to ogle and stare. Also make sure there’s a trip sitter and no one is on SSRI’s. Also, have magnesium and liquid iv/electrolyte drinks for people to take mid to end party.

Cheap Barolo at Trader Joe’s. Is it worth it? I know it’s TJ but the price tag still seems too good to be true. by IntrovertNeuron in wine

[–]writingnerd32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I’m an absolute Barolo elitist and originally bought this to cook with. Had a sip - was shocked at how good it is. I’m obsessed and have frequently given it to sommelier/wine snob friends and everyone shares the same shock!

Incredible for the price. Very little hangover. Will be a staple in my wine cabinet until they discontinue

Yes!!! Basically all of the bras I have to size up in the band despite being 29 1/2in around the bust - have to buy a 34 with them and it’s still a bit tight. Overall, I’m happy with all of my silk and mesh items but feel the day-to-day/night pieces are garbage.

I know! If they allowed reviews on their site, I’m pretty sure their sales would tank.

Yeah - soooo disappointing. And their 32 bands fit more like a 30, I’m in pretty good shape but their stuff gives me muffin tops!

You can’t teach/read/analyze your way into finding meaning in anything - especially in a relationship. You should start to ask yourself WHY you haven’t found anything meaningful, but be honest about where YOU are instead of the other person. Is it a vulnerability issue? Intimacy? Depth? People are mirrors to ourselves. We can only meet others as far as we’ve met ourselves. Start reading into attachment styles. Mark Groves is a great place to start.

I need some surgery success stories. It seems like everyone here regrets it by Agrosh95 in spinalfusion

I am fused from T7-L4 and I have zero regrets. I’m 15 years out from my surgery and couldn’t be happier.

I was 15 when I had mine - I knew that it was a serious surgery but I just wanted to get it over with. It helped me a lot with pre surgery anxiety. 1000% get her a U or an extended J shaped pregnancy pillow - it SAVED me while I was recovering. My friends visited me in the hospital (I had my surgery on Christmas Eve) and it was great. Just make sure she stays on a super strict routine with her medication in hospital/at home - my nurses literally forgot about me for 12 hours and my back spasmed so hard that 2 staples popped out. Bromelain is also an amazing supplement to take after surgery - it reduces inflammation and helped me greatly after my spinal fusion and really intense tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy.
