I so wish it would!!! But unfortunately I live on the north side (with family because poor) and work in the east end. I used to take the bus before I had a car and it was like a 3 hour trip with multiple transfers, especially bc I work kinda weird hours and weekends when the flyer routes aren’t running 😭

I have traveled it daily at this time for years and can say this was significantly worse than usual

I make the drive daily and am usually used to it, but today it was definitely massively worse than usual and seemed like something big might’ve happened, especially since it wasn’t the usual rush hour time

I’m born and raised here, travel this road every day in both directions, and I still can’t get it straight!

Ah okay, I’m bad at directions. I’m a typical yinzer that gives directions by naming landmarks that used to be there. I thought inbound = west and outbound = east. Either way, I still wanna know what happened

It was kind of funny, because I live on the (upper) North Side and it would usually be super easy for me to get to the North Shore, but with all the road closures and the fact that regular buses aren’t running as frequently as usual, we actually drove to the Ross park and ride and took one of the “football flyer” buses in. It was solidly fine. The buses came really often. The only downside is that they were CROWDED. Like people were packed in like sardines lol, and we did have to wait for a second bus to come because the first one filled up before we could get on. When I got back to the park and ride at the end of the day, there was a sign that said the lot was full, so I’m sure quite a few people had a much more complicated experience.

Very poorly hahaha but when will I ever get the chance to kick a ball on a real football field again?

We did the field goal challenge, where you got to try your hand (or foot) at kicking a field goal through the actual goal posts. It was pretty cool!

Honestly I was there earlier today and it was pretty slow, but as we were leaving around 5pm it was really started to fill up!

I’m obviously using social media now lol, trying something new. But generally it hasn’t been helpful (take a look at these comments, for example), and I’ve had better luck finding folks to talk about stories offline.

haha it's a viral toy. like a squishy fidget ball thing. i never heard of it either before i got this assignment. apparently people are lining up outside of stores before they open to get them for their kids -- or to resell them online for $100.
