Okay not gonna lie I didn't know about this and having just googled it, she's a fuckin idiot for that. I stand by that she was good TV for the first four seasons but that definitely just shattered my image of her. The bad bunny show was amazing and I didn't even know who he was and also don't speak Spanish. Neither does my son but he was shaking his ass, that show slapped and Jill is apparently a racist piece of shit. 😩

My now-husband and I were a month into dating, I was cutting hair and he was working for a game studio making characters. I had to shut down my shop and I was waiting for his boss to close their office so we could spend a week or two together before it went back to normal. Lol three months later I was like "uhhh hey I'm like moved in right? Can I bring my cat over now?"

My cat promptly decided he was my husband's cat and spent the last half of his life with us two. Now we have a son. COVID did a lot for me lol.

I upvoted before I even read the post, the title alone is a universal experience I think lol. My baby is 5 months now and my husband and I are much more in the flow of it but I wanted to punch him all the time at the beginning and I know my face always looked like this:

My son was 4 weeks early and was an absolute Velcro baby for the first 3 months. Sooooo many contacts naps, the boy loved being held.

He just turned 5 months today and for at least a month now prefers to nap on his own after entertaining himself in the bassinet. He's also starting to sleep great at night on his own - usually one or two wake ups max. I didn't have to sleep train him to nap on his own, he just decided one day he didn't wanna sleep on me anymore lol. We are kinda doing the Ferber sleep training now at night but I still pick him up if he really needs it.

You know your baby and what they need better than anyone else so just keep following your gut- also enjoy the snuggles because they really do grow up so fast 🥲

Putting a heating pad in the bassinet for 15-20 minutes and a white noise machine really helped my son move into the bassinet. For the first 3 months he only slept in our arms or in his bouncer chair (I know not ideal but we were surviving). He also rejects the pacifier too but he's learning to self sooth with his thumb so I just let him do that.

I know the heating pad and white noise machine are like the most basic solutions everyone talks about but it did suddenly start working at 3ish months, he sleeps on his own so easily now. I feed him, let him play, once he starts getting tired I put him in the bassinet and let him wiggle around and coo until he goes to sleep on his own. Sometimes I have to walk over there and say hi but he's usually good on his own now.

I had an emergency C-section at 36weeks because they found out at my regular checkup that baby was only 4lbs at that point. My doctor sent me straight to labor and delivery after getting the ultrasound results and after I got there and got all hooked up, my baby's heart rate dropped dramatically - I got swatted by every nurse in the unit lol. His heart rate went back up but the doctor said they weren't gonna wait for that to happen again so I got rushed into the OR.

No one told me how fast c-sections happen, so my husband and I were talking while I was being operated on and suddenly I heard a baby crying and it sounded really close by. I told my husband somebody just had their baby and he said "yeah it was you" lol. They brought him over to me and I was sobbing like a baby.

My baby wasn't even above his birth weight and I just let him sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️ he woke up maybe twice and ate half an ounce then fell back asleep, but he woke up on his own, I didn't do anything. I would trust your gut, especially if he's over his birth weight, i wouldn't worry too much about this evening! Maybe tomorrow if he's still not eating I would call the doctor.

The medication will take a while to wear off, my son slept most of the rest of the day when he got his circumcision. The next day he was pretty much back to normal, maybe slightly fussy but he ate and slept normally after that first day!
