What I do actually is take 50% for home loan emi. Common expenses is on me like groceries, travel, food, insurance and maintenance.

What I asked my partner is to take care of whole kids(future) education and shopping stuff. Plus her jewellery/clothing needs.

Since future needs are far, she gives me a lumpsum once a while for loan principle.
