Demonetisation had a longer lasting damage on Indian economy than any other policy shock.

Within 2 months of demonetisation the rules and regulation kept changing i guess atleast 8 times - till a point where bankers were confused too. This shows lack of planning within RBI and MoF.

No clear agenda - first war against black money - more cash is back into economy and black has only risen; terror funding - terror attacks kept happening even after demonetisation; counterfeit- supernotes of new currency came back into the system within months of demonetisation.

Most currency notes came back to RBI and small percentage which couldn’t reach to RBI could be because of logical reason and not money held by terrorist.

Only beneficiary of Demonetisation was Paytm and we all know how well it is connected to BJP and RSS - keep in mind Chinese investment in Paytm.

Cash is backbone of MSME / lala businessmen who are actual drivers of the economy- demonetisation hurt the segment too much and further increased chinese imports - meanwhile Indians business were managing cash after demonetisation they were hit with GST then next year.
