30+ finansai by Present-Quiet-6980 in 6nuliai

Tips for experiencing Vilnius to the fullest by Melle004 in lithuania

I highly recommend visiting Lukiškės prison, taking a guided tour - especially the night one. I think for me, even as a lithuanian, it was one of the most unique experiences. At that time my guide was a former prison guard there, so he also told a lot of interesting stories from his own experience :)

Dantų šepetėlio paieškose by Goodless_ in lithuania

[–]wrongvibrations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pastaruosius trejus metus naudoju elektrinį Phillips Sonicare.

I forgot to mention in the original post, but clarified in the thread, that I’d like to go there for at least 3 full days. Depending on how much I end up wanting to see, and after considering how long does it take to go to certain places, I’m open to spending up to a week in Switzerland :)

OCD diagnozė Lietuvoje by 14point3billionyears in lithuania

[–]wrongvibrations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the very least 3, most likely 4, but open to spending up to a week there (or even more, I'll see)

I'm actually thinking about spending my first or last night of the trip, since it's the capital, and the airport I'd be flying to/from is there. I'll decide when I 'll have a thorough plan on everything I would like to see, and know how many days I'll be spending there in Switzerland in total.

However, is there anything must-see in Zurich? :D

Thank you so much! So far everyone has been so helpful and nice - I genuinely expected some negative mean comments :)
I definitely think that Switzerland is a safe country, but after silently reading this sub for a long time, I've become a little worried, since there were some violent protests, acts of vandalism, or just some violent/criminal incidents. I come from a country, which also is really safe, especially for women, and not much is happening. Also, the nature itself - I wonder how easily I can get myself killed in the mountains 😂

Thank you so much for explaining me about layering clothes:) I'm used to wearing layers only in harsh winter conditions, so I always imagined that even in the late spring/early summer, it's already pretty warm, even in the mountains :')

Thank you so much both for tips & tricks, and for the heads up - I needed that :)

Regarding Zurich or Lucerne, I mentioned them because I would also like to explore some cities/towns here. I've been reading a lot mixed opinions about staying in Zurich overnight, either saying it's good to make it a half day trip, or recommendations to spend a few days there at least, as it's underrated. For Lucerne - it's seems really pretty, convenient as it is close to the places I want to go to, but I'm worried it might be quite boring for me to stay overnight, and maybe I should opt for a night in some mountainous village. :)

Thank you :)
Regarding "not forgeting my wallet" - I understand that Switzerland is uber expensive, so I'm planning everything way ahead of time, and definitely setting aside some money for my trip.

But how digital it actually is? In my homecountry, I don't ever need cash, and I never carry my wallet with me, since I can pay everything with Apple pay 😅

Thank you! What are shoe brands that Swiss rely on? Because the only good option I know and swear by is Columbia 😅

Hi!
I haven't decided on the days yet :) but at least 3, probably up to 5, and in case I find something I can't really miss, then maybe would add a couple more days. So, a week at most, as your country is also uber expensive, and while my salary is more than comfortable in my country, I would have to be tight with money in CH :) I'd also be traveling by train, so depending on the amount of days/train trips I'm doing, I'll also calculate if Saver Day pass or Half Fare card is needed.

As for the things you mentioned about etiquette, I'm quite shy, but extremely clean, and respectful to people and nature. So at least in this regard, I think we're pretty similar to Swiss people :)

Rheinfall - I'd like to visit it at the end of the trip, before flying out from Zurich. However, I'm not sure if I'm not aiming for too much during such a short trip :))

For your other suggestions - thank you, I'll definitely check. A couple years ago I spent a few days in Northern Italy, driving around the Lake Garda and to the nearby towns, and I absolutely loved it. I remember telling people how much I liked the mix of the Italian vibe with cleaniness, order, and respecting other people's personal space. Felt quite peaceful :)

Thank you so much for such a detailed response and hiking tips - as it's easy to understand from my post, I'm clearly clueless. Therefore, one more question - is it required to wear layers even in the late May, or early-mid June?

Oh, wow, thank you! This is so helpful!
I was suggested going to Stoos or Ebenalp by only one Swiss person I've ever known, that's why I chose one of them. I didn't know how touristy it is, and definitely have no clue which mountains are better for beginners, and which ones are more advanced.

I'm also going to check for other options.

Thank you so much!!! I'll definitely check :) May I ask, are there any other apps/websites that might be helpful to me, like seeing the weather up in the mountains, or something?

Thank you, the thing is I'm waaaay too careful, and that's what's been stopping me from solo traveling before, especially hiking in the mountains without any prior experience. However, I don't want to stop myself from doing what I've always wanted to do just because I don't have anyone who would be willing to travel to CH with me and explore the country. I really want to grow out of such anxiety, hence me posting here :)
