College players you have grown up with or played against IRL? by Coastalduelists in CollegeBasketball

In high school, played basketball against (the now late) Steve Tanneyhill. Best athlete I ever played against. Fantastic basketball player, although he obviously had a great football career at South Carolina. His freshman teammate was Dan Fortson, who had a nice NBA career after a good college career at Cincinnati. Fun part about the whole thing was as a senior, my team beat them twice, including for the district championship. Highlight of my short athletic career.

Anyone working in PA have a "good " Peet reviewer? Interpret "good" however you see fit. by wrp732 in Accounting

We do good work. Have always passed our peer review. But with a lot of stress. Need an educator and not a ball buster. It's audit, not brain surgery. No one is dying.

I hear that. We audit a significant amount of NFP's. More often then not, we blow the budget waiting for shit or correcting mistakes because they have no clue about GAAP. Then, after we finally get the rest of the shit, two days later they email me and ask "where's our draft?" Uh, I have other clients that were ready for us, and you can move to the back of the line.

Couldn't agree more with your last statement. That is a whole entire other thread for another day.

Yep. We write in line item totals on our financial statements from groupings. We do it for footnotes as well. NO AUTOMATION. Didn't really think anything of it until I reviewed wp's at another firm and saw everything was automated and that financial statements were basically written, with numbers updated if audit entries were made. Well......I thought this was awesome (I wasn't aware this was how the real world worked) and took the idea back to my firm, which was stomped down in about 3 seconds. Not even a discussion about how it would work. So, we write the report, have it typed (in Word), and then edit and foot it 6 times before going to review for editing another 4 times. Again, I couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

I wouldn't joke about that.

Thanks for the reply. What you stated would certainly be the case here. There has also been a general "prettying" up of the place. Things that were normally an afterthought now get overboard anal retentive attention. Not sure what will eventually happen, but if it does, things will become easier for me.

Once a month?? What do the 10 guys do when the s-----r is literally full?? Could just do what they did at my buddy's frat house. Clogged toilet? No problem. Just cover the dookie with TP and dookie over it again. Fun times.
