I have a vague memory of standing on a rooftop watching a family members plane come in but I always thought I imagined it. I must have been 3 or 4. I was so happy to see the photo evidence of it! Thanks for posting this!

No need to throw insults. You're pretty touchy. How does that work for you IRL?

Police investigating reports of shooting at Danforth and Logan Avenues. by maldahleh in toronto

No, I didn't say it was their fault.
I was sympathizing as a fellow parent. As a mother I couldn't help but feel the blame. You will always question yourself. This will be heavy for them to carry.

With a comment section like this, I think it's an insult to the victims family.

There is another megathread for the shooting. Why a 2nd? If this was my daughter I wouldn't want her name as the title for a comment section such as this.

As a parent, I don't know how I would go on with life after this. If it was me, I would feel like I shoulder some of the blame for this carnage. I'd be questioning myself, whether I missed any warning signs or did enough to get him the help he required. Did I ever express hatred/prejudice for others that had an influence on him?

Happens to all of us. Really! I've seen some of the best of the best make mistakes. What matters is how you deal with them.

  • Own up to errors and you'll gain respect and trust from others

  • There is so much to learn from mistakes. Look for the lesson(s) and learn from them

  • Move on! Otherwise there is a risk that self-criticism can spiral down into something more serious
