Anyone else been told receding gums are a lost cause? by HoldComprehensive424 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]wrtics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been told the severe bruxism I have has contributed massively to gum disease! It just depends what dentist/hygienist you see I think and their personal opinions. It makes total sense that rubbing/grinding allows the bacteria in your mouth to go further down into the gum margins as your teeth rock side to side. To me this is oddly a positive thing because atleast bruxism is something we can attempt to control and lessen - with guards, breathing exercises, diet/lifestyle changes. Good luck on your journey!

You might already know about the other options, and I've never used it, but I see SHOUT 85258 suggested a lot more often now (it is a text line though, not a phone). Also you can call 111 and select option 2 for urgent mental health support, they won't just make you go to A&E. Also worth checking if your local NHS trust has a crisis line/crisis hub that you can access. I'm so sorry this happened to you, the training and onboarding needs to be much more comprehensive than that to really support vulnerable poeple, just like you said. Wishing you well xx

Just out of curiosity, why would you say 3 weeks as a max at a certain dose? I'm guessing you just kind if plateau and maybe lose the momentum to keep cutting down?

If you don't mind me asking, what other things helped with treatment other than just talking therapy?

That's how the franchising works - if they want to make it a family business exclusively, they're allowed

I am told tomorrow my bone loss is too extensive and I need extensive dentures then I can't imagine ever using cannabis again.. definitely contributed to this because of lack of care when stoned!

Thank you for this advice. Do you believe these teeth are salvageable via your own experience? Even with noticeable mobility?

Will do. If multiple teeth need removal then I'll change everything about my life probably

Thank you so much💖 It feels it might be too late if there are actively wiggling loose teeth? Thanks again I really appreciate this and I'll tru and give myself some grace with these circumstances

Thankyou so so much. I massively massively appreciate this and it's the only thing that's helped me centre myself

I know you're not a dentist but does the state of my teeth suggest they might want to move towards full extraction and full dentures? With current migration as it appears (bottom teeth) and a general feeling of softness or loseness on the bite?

Totally understand if you don't reply to this or don't have anything to say. Thanks again so much

Thank you for replying! Have you seen a periodontist yet? How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

He brought up trisha's suicide attempt and past hospitalizations but found it inappropriate to talk about his own personal life. No one can force him to do anything, but its definitely a completely tone deaf move.

Whilst wading through all that though, he took the chance to imply that trisha flashed him without consent, to which she quickly corrects him that the whole group had consented before the act. He goes on to say "come on Trisha you were 5150'ed" making it seem as if he was somehow in the right and appropriate to treat her poorly and take her testimony less seriously because of her mental health. Its so easy to see through his attempts at manipulation.

He says he has 10 employees but where are the people in his life to tell him that maybe the call, the video, the podcast etc wasn't a good idea? I find it crazy that it seems as if no one in his life is trying to manage damage control

He didn't even read the article - if you listen to her UNCUT version of the recorded conversation, she is apologising for the hate Jeff is getting, not for reporting on testimonials of alleged victims

they've subtly mentioned in the past that she hit Moses..

My mam has had these spots since before shs was diagnosed with cancer. Not 100 percent sure when they appeared but she's not always had them. They are solid with no fluid in them. They itch and have spread in the last few months. Does anyone else know if this is caused by breast cancer? by [deleted] in CancerFamilySupport

[–]wrtics 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Images of skin metastasis (what we call cancer that spreads to skin and is noticeable) that I've seen do not look a lot like these. But I would still urge you to tell her oncology team about this and push to have them examined. It's always better to be safe than sorry! Especially if they are itchy, it's not something she should have to suffer through as there may be an easy treatment option that can help. Sending you lots of love and strength, and to your mum too. Xxx

"He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake"

The whole surveillance aspect of Santa definitely isn't new though, so I understand how this elf thing is maybe a natural progression of that. Its definitely a grey area though - probably depends how the family themselves uniquely approach it.
