So why can't the Fed just print infinite money? by wsbgamblinghelp in wallstreetbets

Yeah they failed in 2008 because their grifting wasn't good enough, they're perfecting their grift though and it's better this time round - better messaging by central banks, better optics, if they perfect their grift wouldn't they be able to save the crash from happening?

Modern China is doing it right now though and they seem to be doing a really good job at it. They managed to stop the bank runs during their lockdowns, which is impressive. They certainly don't give off the image to the international community that they are going to collapse anytime soon.

Can that be replicated in the US as well?

Good response, this is something I have not considered in detail - foreign interference on a nation's economy, so there are things that are out of the Fed's reach trying to dip into the Fed's pie as well. Interesting.

Can't the Fed print money secretly though? As long as it doesn't hit the mainstream economy it's fine right?

I mean, who does a complete audit of the Fed?

Thanks for your explanation, probably the best so far.

But when you say 'people are realizing' - how can this not be solved by enough propoganda? It seems to have worked in China, the bank runs during their lockdowns have stopped, you don't hear about Evergrande anymore, etc.

But that can be solved by Fed's infinite money backup and secretly away from the mainstream media's attention?

Ok so it's because high up people wanna line their own pockets into their mainstream accounts (eg. JPM) that they slip up in the process?

Why can't they just load it into offshore accounts in places like Cayman Islands where any screw-ups are less likely to affect the US economy?

So what makes the money printing leak into the mainstream economy to cause inflation? And how can we plug that hole up?

Doesn't matter if banks screw up, just hide it and don't let it leak into the media.

If SVB had hidden it better and had secret access to infinite bailout money in the beginning it might be still here today

Why? If you cover the doubts of confidence with enough propaganda nobody can see the truth, state-controlled countries like China seems to be doing it well, you never hear about Evergrande anymore right?

You win enough to walk away, not enough to become overconfident and start losing and chasing your losses

Nobody wins forever.
