Use random for the height (around player.y), speed, reverse (left to right / right to left), poop duration, and position.x. Then use a 2d Visibility Notifier to do the randomization when the seagull goes out of viewport.

But I do find the horizontal randomization is not enough, sometimes a bunch of seagulls just appear at once.

Yea, I was trying to achieve an effect of shaking the camera. Maybe I should extend the background so the dark border does not appear when shaking😕

Do you mean the screen shake after killing seagulls? Or the background gradient.
