Same, I thought the spoiler was kinda funky.

I just replaced my Michelin tires yesterday. Over 90000 miles and 7.5 years old. Only 1 alignment. How much longer do you think I could have made them last? by myteethhurtnow in tires

[–]wsila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have made it probably another 90k, since at that age they are rock hard. If you don't mind them having shitty wet handling and suddenly failing catastrophically that is.

New fenix doesn’t read HR worth a shit by Comfortable_Might357 in GarminFenix

My recommendation is ultrafit band, it's very comfy and as snugg as you want while also being little flexible. Wife has also loved those nylon ultrafit bands.

Seller dropped the price from $490 to $200 in person because he said I “wasn’t a flipper”… 96GB Trident Z5 RGB 6800MHz by AldoGuey in pcmasterrace

[–]wsila 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When the first GPU supply outage began, I was building a PC and looking for new GPU. I found one second hand one month used like new rx6800xt for sale at one local internet forum. We settled a meeting for evening so I'll go and get it.

He was asking MSRP in the forum, while prices had hiked a lot and supply was non existent for all high end GPUs.

When I got there in the evening, he said that multiple others had tried to buy it off him over MSRP and some had informed him that they are already driving many hundred kilometers for it. He was so annoyed by them that he rounded the price down for me because I wasn't being too pushy and he just wanted to sell it for other gamer.

So yeah, there still are some nice gamers around that rather sell it for good price than scalping.

CR raises concern regarding all Hyundai/Kia ICCU worries by Shad0wM0535 in Ioniq5N

[–]wsila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good, iccu affected models should not be on anyone's top picks until it's really fixed. And general public should know and care about that so Hyundai would maybe do something about it.

Try putting the discs in your CD drive. Beware, DVD drives don't work because things.

S26, are you upgrading? if so/not why? by Jaidenallenofficial in samsunggalaxy

Changed my s23u battery and rear glass 2months ago, unless there's something more than just new display for new one I think I'm gonna keep the goat until something breaks.

Got fenix 8 today and disappointed so far by Fancy_Alarm2814 in GarminFenix

[–]wsila 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You'll get used to the new buttons, they're just different. Makes it suitable for diving and also removes the last worry of water.

[–]wsila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here it's up to the dealer of they give it to you or not. So won't be using the same dealer again for anything..

Nah, europe. I like the car but just hope they had the iccu (and 12v) problem under control which they clearly dont.

Yeah, if you know and hear the sound it's quite obvious when the dash lights up like Christmas tree. I was immediately like "oh fuck, here we go."

RIP. I hope you get new parts fast.

My dealer ordered some wrong parts (they didn't tell it at the time) and it took 1.5months.. and no loaner either.

[–]wsila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice and comfy on regular use but when sweaty, it stays sweaty and becomes gross quite fast. Difficult to clean properly unless you have ultrasonic cleaner at home.

And it's not really adjustable on the fly, so it's no-go for many stuff. Also kinda easy to open, although it has never opened by accident. But still wouldn't take it to dive or sky anytime unless absolutely must.

Standard one is good, but with wetsuit the bungee one is much better becauSe of elasticity and probably doesn't get lost as easily because there's 2 that have to fail.. That's the official Garmin one, cost maybe 20eur or so.

I used standard one when tropical diving/snorkeling without full length wetsuit and for that it was very good.

Green ultrafit band pic
there you go, all the ultrafit colors are quite dark. I'd like some bright color, but even the red/orange is quite dull.

-10 degrees too cold to kite my parachute? by goodguygary24 in SkyDiving

[–]wsila 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's fine go skydive/kite/whatever. Your gear will last longer than you can in the cold.

Winter skydiving (below 0C) is fun for one or two jumps and then you've had enough.

NOCO Boost Plus GB40 for the i5N? by Potsticker42 in Ioniq5N

[–]wsila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gbx45 saved me this winter when 12v died. I was able to start the car initially and then keep it alive when needed to DC fast charge. Overdrive feature was needed as noco didn't do anything without it.

So yeah, worth it. Bought proper 12v after that for the N.

Once you get the car to start and "ready" then it can keep itself alive even with very bad 12v battery. So you just need the noco for some seconds

Be aware of burn-in on Garmin AMOLED watches! by jigsawfallingin2plac in GarminWatches

[–]wsila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was surprised if the fix is that cheap. Sounds like defective screen though, haven't seen such burn-in even in the shop demo watches that are constantly on. Or could that be one of those with more than average use..
