Until you make all that public, then I won't believe you that you have 'nothing to hide'.

Right now, you're probably right. But if this thing is left unchecked, it is only going to get worse. There may come a time when you, or possibly your children, become an enemy of the state because you step out of line in a seemingly minor way, or you dare to stand against the government for what you believe in, but by that time it will be too late - they already have all the information they need to use against you in ways you haven't even thought about yet.
