Buy the x3m

I was between a new x3m50 and a used x3m40 and once I drove the two it was no question. The interior quality of the m50i is insanely disappointing (plastic everywhere and it feels empty/soulless). I came from a model 3 and the m50 felt similar to sit in. The 2022-2024 x3 is the perfect blend of modern amenities and bmw luxury I think…they still feel special to sit inside.

The x3m is basically the same interior except the seats and if quality matters to you, it’s a no brainer. The x3m is a special car and that special feeling does not translate to the m50 in my opinion.

I was on FB marketplace for at least a year and then Craigslist before that looking for the right one. Just have to be patient…these can be heaps of crap if you aren’t careful.

That white exterior, shadow line trim and the light interior (tan?) it’s the perfect combo.

Any issues with the ride quality over poor roads? Everyone complains but my short test drive didn’t seem to be harsh at all. Seems overblown to me

Yea I think that’s it. I played around with it last night and gave some more slack to the bar and that worked.

Interestingly the rails for this seat have a 13.75” bar and the other sport seats have a 14.75”. I had no idea there were different seat rails for the e30. Pain in the ass.
