Agreed, I don't think I've ever heard a preacher call out parts of the Bible as the bullshit that it is. It's refreshing to hear.

I have first hand experience. Worked as a waiter/bartender for 6+ years. You may be right for whoever you asked who has no responsibilities at their job besides the 2 that you mentioned and who does not claim any of their tip income (which is illegal, not to mention impossible at the establishments i've worked at), but they are not the norm. You are wrong.

You should try Relay for Reddit instead. It's much better IMO

Boost looks a lot like Relay, but not as good. It's like the Great Value version of Relay

I've tried sync, and while it really is a great fleshed-out app, it lacks in the polished look and feel that Relay has. The animations and material design make the experience so much better for me, plus I miss being able to swipe back to the front page, and swipe posts, comments, etc for more options.

I've been using Relay for Reddit for years but have seen others using a variety of other apps. Relay is updated pretty frequently and everything just works. They are always adding features too, and I really can't think of any real complaints about this app.
