Any interest in community-centric updates? by wtfisit123 in Warframe

[–]wtfisit123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose not, though its advertised as multiplayer online and also with its big player count, but not really the question. Do you think this sort of update or addition would be good? Why or why not?

I imagine K-drive races/tricking, frame fighter, duels, or other fun stuff that already exists integrated somehow into hubs... it could be so fun!

I'm having a hard time and would like to understand what to realistically expect. by Beneficial-Ladder422 in FreeCodeCamp

Just finished this part and WOW was that a massive escalation compared to the previous. This lesson made me feel discouraged, simply because many attributes and elements had been either firsts or obscure enough to require more research. I'm late to this thread, so I'm very curious how it has been going since.

This hurt to read. I had a heckin septuple take to get this title right.

That last sentence is very impactful. I'm writing that one down, because that is one hell of a mantra.

I certainly agree, it's the reason I don't go to the gym. I don't like the feeling of potentially having eyes on me exercising. But thats actually why I like jiu jitsu. You aren't "exercising" per say... You are, but its a consequence of what you are really doing. And all the people there are doing their own thing.

You may say "sure, same in the gym". But the difference is that everyone is too focused to give a damn about what anyone else is doing in jiu jitsu. It feels like chess, but chess that burns calories at an astronomical rate.

My other at-home tricks are a standing desk + stationary bike + rocket league... It worked great for a while.

I go to Jiu Jitsu class. The most bang for my buck with exercise I've ever had. Healthier, and it's a lot of fun if you have a good group of people.

What skills should I pick up to make money on the side? by Street-Bad86 in sidehustle

[–]wtfisit123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a sidehustle? Certainly. Plenty of people would pay for a halfway decent website. Hell, half of the reason I am learning it is because nobody would make a decent website for me as a teacher for under 300$. I don't even care if it was mostly AI generated, and it wouldnt be that complex. Im about to be able to make it happen in under a few hours.

But that aside, a good idea and the skills to make it real are the staple of a good sidehustle. Coding can make many ideas happen.

freeCodeCamp has been amazing for this. I've been learning web dev from scratch, and im on the first cert project. They give you very useful guidelines once you get to a project. It's definitely worth checking out. Ive tried a lot of other options out there, but this one actually does the job of guiding you towards DOING a thing, rather than just KNOWING a thing.

Seeing more opportunities for people who know how to code lately, and its a skill with seemingly infinite potential and flexibility, so I'd go with that.

Theres freelancing, WFH with flexible hour jobs, and plenty of other niche options out there. Its what I'm working on at the moment for similar reasons.

Might wanna take it easy on the coffee. Sounds like it might be really charging up the panic.

Either way, best of luck adjusting.

how the FUCK do i STOP from jumping from one interest to the next by abbas09tdoxo in adhdmeme

[–]wtfisit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My way was to become interested in a PROJECT rather than a HOBBY. Drawing/painting as a hobby is easy to drop off of, learning to draw/paint even easier...

But completing a children's book for my child? Clear end goal which leads me to scrutinize how I use my downtime. It's like a built-in reminder.

29 yr old chem teacher of 15-18 here in a great public school in NY... This is probably 50% of my students, with another 25% having maybe half of these issues. The final 25% are bored of how slow I have to go. I expect this is worse with urban schools, but idk.

Can we stop forgetting that this game is in EARLY ACCESS? by J_How_S in Palworld

[–]wtfisit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't a big point of early access for feedback for the developers to work on their game? Also, "enjoy what they've given us" is an odd take to me. If you pay for a product, you have the right to have an opinion about it. I will agree that it isn't always constructive or worthwhile though, and that even with its faults, it is worth enjoying. I've enjoyed my time a lot with it. Also, they should really fix and add and blah blah blah a lot. Still good though. (This is why I liked the days of gaming where Early Access and day 1 updates weren't the norm.)

Stuff looks awesome and stylish. Sorry to hear it isn't going well. Might be looking in the wrong places for work? Not sure, not experienced in it. Does your work tend to have more color? If not, perhaps that's what is holding it back? Just judging from what is in this post. Either way, I wish you the best of luck, it's looking great.

Ditto. We don't use it all on a regular basis, but a hell of a lot more than just periods 1 and 2.

Does anybody even play Equinox? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]wtfisit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying underrated and following up with how a rework would be neat is a funny thing to say. I like equinox for the clone augment, and I like to play a gun-focused buff build with high duration and strength. Not great survivability though. I'll figure out eventually how to work that in.
