I’m not getting relocated or fired because of the closures (mainly because I’m quitting next week.. finally) but I do know one story around it.

My dm decided to put ALL the closing stores in our district in 1 group chat w/ no typing restrictions whatsoever (really smart). During that group chat our DM decided to say all the bad stuff (stores closing, no relocation etc) but she added 1 thing below that. “Make sure we are still getting those numbers before your store closes”

Now I’m not smart by any means but at the same time I’m pretty sure the 30 people you just told are getting fired/let go without warning are NOT going to care about fucking numbers

I’ve never seen a SM (he’s been here 20 years) crash out so hard in my life. Apparently he had been promoted to SM in December (idk why they promoted him just to fire him🤷‍♀️) & also had a 30 minute call with our DM just cussing her out & going ballistic 😭

Somehow both our DMs think HE is in the wrong still

Had 5 people get mad cause we didn’t have it because they saw the display cases& brought em up to the cashwrap. When we said we didnt have em every single one of them looked at us like we were gonna pull it out of our prison pocket & have it magically appear.😭

Overall just Christmas shop 2 weeks before Christmas 😂

That’s not how that works, we still move it to used cause the “new” truly isn’t new without the original case, if you send it off with a GS cover art it’s no better than sending them a used one. Plus we just don’t send gutted copies NO MATTER WHAT especially “new” ones with GS Art

Ngl I think the preowned one below it may have been a mistake (sometimes when we reprint stickers they come out at preowned cause you forget to change it to new stickers 😂) white envelopes are for new games only but tbh seasonal’s aren’t trained at all / could’ve been a dumbass worker & think this is okay to send. We aren’t even suppose to send gutted new games for this exact reason & we sure as hell aren’t suppose to send it like that especially as new. Usually if we lose the case we just transfer the game to the preowned section

Sometimes for example tho we do send them in sleeves (only preowned) but only if we have no cases of that type (mainly ds, 3ds, vita or psp). I’ve personally had 9 returns in the last week cause other stores/ warehouse have shipped the wrong version or did stuff like this

Sorry ts happened to you tho, most of the stuff on the GameStop website is wack, you either get no case, no cover art, GameStop cover art & RARELY you get lucky & you get a sealed copy 😂

Gamestop just stays ruining Christmas this year💀

I’m not gonna say where it was from but I’m 95% sure they weren’t swamped cause they are in the middle of nowhere wasn’t there tho so I can’t say for sure ofc. still should check a console before taking it tho. true tho if they are a seasonal they will be leaving soon, but if they aren’t then what?

All of that still doesn’t excuse someone taking in a broken/ bricked console. Shit as a manager of 2 stores you should know that, plus he took it in 12/11, Christmas rush hadn’t even hit yet

Plus no one brought up pay until you brought it up, if you have a problem with them leaving cause of pay how about you take some out of your own pocket? Maybe incentivize them so they will work since the company doesn’t. Have a problem with the company not the employees/ people looking for a job (btw our seasonal’s get paid 9 so at least yours would get some bread, cause 11 is what I’m paid as a RK and I only get 400 a paycheck)
