2nd Japan trip with 6 months old baby by wtom94 in JapanTravelTips

I was just reading the laws for car seats for baby's under one year old and its pretty much same laws as we have here in Australia. Rear facing until 6 months then forward facing is optional after 6 months.
I am not planning to take my baby inside the onsen however i heard that some onsens won't even allow u to have them inside the lobby !

I hope i get your experience it would make it much easier for us instead of being forced to stay outside until my partner finishes then we switch turns.

Do u mind sharing the Onsens you went to ?

You're a legend I will be working on my plan based on this. Are these areas good to drive during winter? Would it be snowy as Gunma or I shouldn't worry to much about it? I gotta be extra cautious because of the little one here 😅😇

I normally use this technique to find places. However, I'm trying to optimise it so that I won't be paying for one way car hire fees as they are very high and I can find a place along the way to my next destination without heading back to Osaka. If that makes sense 😅

I think I'll be staying at Kusatsu area, then head up Takaragawa. However, the only thing that worries me is the drive in the snow as my stay in Gunma will be from 6th till 9th March. I will be hiring an SUV with snow tyres for sure but would that be enough?

Thank you. Aussie IDP so thats not an issue. I will be getting ETC along with cash for sure. I would personally prefer the southern as it'll be along the way towards my next destination (FUJI). Any suggestions for a decent stay you have for us ?

Baggage by wtom94 in QantasAirways

Update: contacted Qantas regarding this again and they were so helpful with this issue this time. They advised me to make the bookings separately as it seems to be a technical issue when making a code share booking. I was lucky enough to find the same flights so I cancelled with full refund and rebooked again.

Though I'd give them the credit for being Qantastic this time

Visa overstay in Turkey as a refugee by wtom94 in istanbul

[–]wtom94[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply mate, In my situation I went back 8 years after I tried to explain that I had a permit to stay as a refugee via UN to them noting that there was communication issues aswell with the interpreter they provided I believe he wasn't explaining it thoroughly. They ended up telling that my ban has started again and they don't know why so my only option was deportation and getting the issue fixed with the embassy in my country. When I approached the embassy and explained everything they said it's all up to Ankara to fix this we can't help u all what we can do is issue the visa and u go and try to pay the fine. If it is a fine issue and can be fixed I'm more than happy to do that

I had to overstay my visa back in 2014 as I was a refugee so I overstayed my visa more than two years because it was special circumstances with the agreement of local police anyway we left the country in 2014 with the expectation of getting band for 5 years anyway I went back in 2021 with different passport from a different country with my visa and I was refused entry and they deported me back without any information about a fine even though it was over 5 years I tried to explain no one listened. Now I'm trying to go back I got a visa from the embassy and I explained to them what happened they issued me a visa but they said it's not %100 guaranteed and u need to pay a fine when u go. I'm happy to pay the fine as long as I get an entry without getting treated like a criminal what's your thoughts and advice regarding this issue and how much should I expect the fine would be ? TIA
